I wouldn't say that's the main purpose. Every movie of the MCU has had an aspect of longterm storytelling in mind while also having a more contained story within it. I could have swore that this show was going to have 12 episodes though. I dont know where I heard that but im not too disappointed because I'm also excited to see the end already.

that is it's main purpose though.

the Dr strange movie is essentially the conclusion of the story to this, with the spiderman one tying into it

everything in one piece is bog standard trope cliches with a story that hasn't gone anywhere for over 1000 chapters, with the usual 30 plotlines that have gone nowhere, with just as many plotholes.

it's like reading negima, where there's only around 10 chapters of actual plot in the whole series.

and if we're talking cool anime shonen factions, then the akatsuki is pretty shit. the only members anyone really knows and remembers is goddamn itachi, pain, and tobi, maybe deidara.

that's it. everyone else was pointless and had no purpose but to be fodder for naruto and crew to beat up or power up.

maybe the espadas from bleach are better, but at the same time people only remember ulquiorra and grimmjow. maybe stark, and maybe harribel and that's only because of those tits. does anyone even remember who gantenbainne is? or rureaux? aaroniero?
