This site created a formula to sort of "even the odds" between artists of the past a present, weighing it so that things like streams and digital/physical album sales are proportionally equal.

The table shows the top artists of all-time using the following ratios:

Studio album: sales of the original album (ratio 1/1)
Other LPs: sales of compilations generated thanks to the album (ratio 1/1)
Physical singles: sales of physical singles from the album (added to CSPC total with a ratio 3/10 for 2-tracks, 5/10 for EPs and Maxis)

Thanks for posting that, it was neat to see a way to measure everything. Not surprised by the list either-- Beatles, Jackson, Elvis, etc. Kinda funny to see Swift right behind AC/DC of all bands though.

I have friends with good taste. The N64 had about 5 good games.

The N64 was a piece of shit that was completely blown out of the water by the PS1.

I hated the last season of Lost, but the finale was passable. Everything about season 8 of GoT was terrible, especially the finale.

I'm still here and would participate, but my work schedule's a bit up in the air, so I might miss some rounds.

No. This is a spiritual successor, but there's no connection as far as lore/world building goes because Konami holds the rights & have done nothing with the Suikoden series for 15+ years.

^Well, we know there's tons of executive meddling in a lot of big movies, so he's not completely wrong about that either.

Hollywood is really struggling lately. Everything either has a giant hundreds of millions 'blockbuster or die' type of budget or is a little indie movie. The mid budget movie has become really rare.

Plus, with all the streaming crap going on now, movies have lost the secondary revenue from the era where people bought movies on tape and then DVDs and then Bluray.

Yeah. He can do deadpan humor really well.

FF7 has to be on the list. RPGs blew up after it, and it helped push the PS1 way over the N64. Not to mention the technical push forward with CG and the way the game was truly marketed out the wazoo.

And it's a broken cycle where most people end up miserable.
