Infinite Wealth literally has a Tinder parody game were you can unlock videos of real women barely clothed.

Persona 3 Reload keeps all the questionable outfits for characters to wear (the high cut armor, bikinis, and maid outfit) and even adds in a totally unnecessary animated cut scene were a character literally comments on the bodies of 3 of the female characters at the beach.

Its almost like a lot these people don't actually play games and get engulfed in pointless culture war crap.

Ichiban gets lectured about sexism at the beginning.

For persona 3, it's because the "wokalisers" (yes they really said that) removed a transphobic joke from the new game which they claim was an iconic scene

You can play on the lower difficulties until you learn. There's 9 difficulties. 7-9 I believe give the rare samples for the tier three skills. But if all you care about playing you can play on the lower difficulties finish them and help with the cause of bringing liberty to bugs and bots. Playing on the easiest difficulty liberates as much as someone playing on helldiver difficulty. So if you have all the samples, the best players play on the lowest difficulty to try to help out and liberate a planet as fast as possible.

Neat. I might try the lowest until I get the hang of it. Is multiplayer mandatory?

More games, broader interests, more specific communities (such as subreddits), fewer games make it big enough to get everywhere. It takes a Baldur's Gate 3 or Elden Ring to hit that level of hype these days.

No. I usually think NG+ makes games too easy unless it's one of those games where it's technically the hard mode

People talked about FF7 and Zelda OoT for so long back then(although maybe I was a kid and it felt longer).

To me it's one of the best turn based rpgs of all time despite a few issues I have with the story(IW is the better game, but Y7 had a better story)

they both have issues. ff16 was boring. rebirth is bloated like a mf and one of the most awkwardly acted games i've ever played.

at least rebirth has other characters you can play as.

It's a bit bloated, but I enjoy the exploration.

Also the original was already a bit "anime". It's just that FF usually use a photorealistic style

I really feel like the budget went all to the boss battles in FF16.

While the side quests had good writings, the mission part was boring.

Yeah. I think the phenomenon is moreso that people who didn't like the game moved on, while the people who did like the game stayed and made themselves more vocal. Happens with Zelda, too.

Nobody might be an exageration, but most people who didn't like FF13 didn't start magically liking it later.

Also even the worst ff games usually have a decent soundtrack

It literally does, people were praising XV and fucking 13 to shit on XVI when it was fresh. It's what Final Fantasy Fans do. They will be using XVI to dump on the next one just like they are using Rebirth to dump on XVI. It's a known pattern with a lot of FF fans and to deny this is silly.

I mean... I know a lot of people who were disapointed with FF16, but still like the main story and soundtrack(duh) that really enjoy rebirth

Also FF16 is a game that gives a pretty good first impression, but you notice the flaws when you progress in game since the highs are really high and the lows are really low

Yeah, XVI definitely tried to be a lot more serious and western-oriented. I thought it was fun and interesting enough at least, but there was very little gameplay variety.

And hey, at the very least Rebirth severely toned down the grunts and random noises for the localization. That's something I'm happy for.

Honestly, it was not that much of a problem for me, I like Final Fantasy games having different themes, but even so, being serious doesn't prevent from having some minigames. See the witcher 3 and Gwent for example

Also the remakes seem to be hitting typical JRPG notes that XVI actively avoided. Weird random humor, goofy minigames, anime dialogue complete with excessive grunts.

XVI was well received overall despite lout shit flingers online and by the time the next actual new FF game rolls around a lot of its haters will suddenly point to it as what "FF should be" like people do with literally every game in this series for some reason. This despite almost every creator of a Final Fantasy game saying the point of the series is that they can all be different.

As early as I am in Rebirth, it has nowhere near the polish or production value of 16.

Despite that, I'm probably going to enjoy Rebirth due to the amount of content. The games are still both fantastic in different ways.
