I loved it through S1 and 2. S3 part 1 was kind of ehh. S3 part 2 elevated it to being possibly my favorite anime of all time.

It's an incredible show with some of the best worldbuilding and story I've ever seen in an anime, and with some incredible action scenes to boot.

It also has a great cast. Hange/Hanji (I've seen it written both ways) is one of my favorite anime characters ever.

I borderline wonder if one of my stages got played on stream or on a video. One of my least popular stages (with like 30-40 plays total before today) shot up by 60 players out of nowhere.

Anyway, two of my more recent stages that I haven't posted here yet:

Lively Lift: GW7 - CYH - N1H

A short elevator stage. It's pretty simple, but I like it, and I felt like it was a little much if I made it much longer.

Sunshine Meadow: 9NP - 5DR - X6G

An homage to 1-1. Not much more to say than that.

Well, (stage spoilers) more like a hidden Goomba torture chamber. Turns out Peach's army has very little mercy on villains once they're defeated. Even after escaping, the finish castle may just be a trap, if you pay enough attention. Peach can't let her secrets get out.

First time? Definitely release order.

Watching them chronologically could be interesting, but I'd imagine it would give some stuff away between movies and make things pretty disjointed. I forget how many of them are different chronologically than their release order, but Captain Marvel alone would make things really really awkward.

AA is my favorite game series of all time. My favorite game ever is either AA3 or AAI2. I think AA3 hit more emotional notes for me, while AAI2 was strictly just a wall-to-wall fantastic game.

For me, my list is something like AA3 = I2 > 6 > 2 > 5 > 1 > Layton > 4 = I1

I love all of them though, except maaaaybe I1 which I've soured on over time (I1-3 is my least favorite case in the series, and I1-5 is my least favorite final case. The rest is okay but not as great as the rest of the series), but is still an okay game.

I sadly don't have a hacked 3DS to play the Dai Gyakuten games, but I may just break and watch a Let's Play on YouTube for the experience.

But yeah, amazing series. I'm really glad they ported it so that more people can play it, because it's totally worth playing.

Edit: While we're doing favorite cases, I'll throw out my top 10: 3-5 > I2-5 > 2-4 > 6-5 > 3-4 > 5-5 > I2-3 > 2-2 > 6-3 > 1-4

I'm more of a fan of 2-2 than most, but it's always held a nice spot for me as basically the perfect filler case (despite having ties to the main plot anyway). I loved the cast and it was just a general fun as hell time.

Detroit is a great game overall, with its biggest issue being its utter lack of subtlety. I recently beat the game three times (a blind first run, a run where I largely picked the opposite choices as my first time all game long, and a run where I picked the worst options possible at any given point) and really enjoyed it.

My advice: Pick how your characters will act and try to stay-in character with each one. It's fun to keep the characters consistent and try to act how "they" would act rather than how you necessarily want to. Granted, you may not get as good of an ending that way, but it's a fun way to play.

Be polite to the instructor.

Check mirrors often and visibly. I was being really obvious about checking, and did it every few seconds, and I still got docked for it.

Know the test route if possible and drive on it to practice.

Make sure you can at least vaguely do the technical stuff, IE parallel parking and the proper way to back down a street. Even if you don't ace them, you can get points for doing them mostly correctly.

Just try to drive well in general. Be sure not to go over the speed limit, etc. If you've been practicing at all, the actual driving portion is honestly pretty easy.

PW > DR > SG > ZE

Ace Attorney is my favorite game series of all time. It's phenomenal.

Danganronpa is a wild ride with highs and lows, but with some zany characters and some astounding cases.

Steins;Gate I've only seen the anime of, but it was a really fun ride. I'm watching SG0 atm, but it's sadly pretty awful thus far.

Zero Escape is great for two entries, but then falls off a cliff with a super unsatisfactory resolution.

Trails is an RPG series and doesn't really fit with the others. I've played the first Cold Steel at least, and it's pretty good. Never tried CC.

Much of what you say is refuted by actual workers accounts, and I would be more apt it taking the credibility of that over your experience.

I'd say it's more that it varies from warehouse to warehouse, really. From what I'm seeing, some aren't as bad or are getting better, while others are still quite abhorrent.

It's good to know that they aren't all bad, but yeah, it is still disheartening to see the accounts in the video.

No, it doesn't. That's the reason I quit watching his show, he points out a problem, there's no real solution to this problem, so he encourages others to solve it. That's kinda something comedy central guys like him do it's too depressing so I just quit watching that shit all together. All it does is reinforce the idea that the rich and powerful own us, kill us and treat us as less than human with absolute immunity

Well its news, exposing the information and getting it our there would be the first step to fixing it.

Yeah. Honestly, I do get the sentiment of being depressed by his show - I've seen a ton of his segments that just show me how much greed there really is out there. Hell, he did one on mobile homes recently, and I never really even considered just how greedy that industry that is, nor how trapped some people in mobile homes truly are. It's really easy to see stuff like this and just get cynical.

But at the same time, I do think it helps to spread awareness. If people start talking about it and it becomes a big enough PR issue for the company, they'll feel pressured to change it, at least. It may not always happen, but spreading awareness helps, even if there aren't bigger steps that we can directly take.

It's definitely iffy on how much these segments truly help at the end of the day, though, sadly. I know that John has started at least a few conversations on some pretty obscure issues, and I've seen some of them getting buzz despite being pretty ignored beforehand.

Honestly, from that video, they probably deserve more.

It's honestly worth watching, but some highlights:

People walk for several miles a day to get items, sometimes with only seconds between long distances that they need to cover. Slower workers are quickly replaced. The work is so strenuous that even workers in good shape and in their 20s can't keep up the pace. Bathroom breaks are discouraged and also factored into worker speed. The warehouses are hot and miserable. One woman died while working after being denied a break, and other workers were told to keep working with her body still on the floor.

Topicwouldn't Christian heaven be boring?
dotsdfe
06/26/19 4:54:50 PM

I made this exact argument in a HS English class, in which we held a class-wide debate about heaven after reading some book about it.

Unfortunately I live in southern Missouri, so the "debate" groups were basically group 1: 12~ super religious Christian kids vs. me (we had to announce our beliefs beforehand), group 2: 12~ super Christian kids vs. the only other person willing to do anything other than agree with one another.

The debate sucked ass, but I pretty much made the precise argument that the idea of a heaven where you're literally always worshipping and happy sounds legitimately awful, and that an eternity of that would wear down on literally anyone after a while. The counterpoint was that you're incapable of feeling anything but happiness in this idea of heaven. My argument for that was that it sounds like you're not even really yourself at that point, but more of just a blindly faithful zombie more than anything if you can't even think for yourself.

But yeah, evidently the idea is that you're always happy and can't feel anything else, apparently.

....Bit of a tangent, but man my high school was a hellhole. I lost some friends for even daring to engage in that debate (if I didn't, it would have just been a circlejerk about how awesome God is I guess, which is apparently what people wanted). My social studies class was taught by an ultra religious lady (who is probably dead by now cause she was super old) who used to do study games where people competed for points, with the winner winning Bible verses.

Also, we had to do debates in my Physics class one time, and I was literally the only person in class who was willing to argue in favor of evolution. I argued that evolution was well-proven and easily identified on a smaller scale, and thus that smaller changes over time can demonstrate larger-scale evolution. Instead of the other kid responding, I got to debate the teacher (who is super, super, super religious, moreso than most there, and who was also old so is also prolly dead now, so get wrecked bitch) the entire time, and she repeatedly spoke over me and talked down to me any time I tried to argue my points. I got a D- for it and the other kid got an A despite saying maybe two sentences the entire time with the teacher doing almost all of the arguing. Even the other kids agreed that it was bullshit.

Kind of a rant, but going to HS in the Bible Belt as an agnostic sucked ass. I guess I should have just stayed quiet.

The Q/Zero also just felt like a twist for the sake of being a twist. It doesn't add anything to the plot and the entire cast knows about it. It's just hidden from the player for the sake of having a twist.
