For example I just jumped into Valheim, and I learned they have about one major content update a year and despite coming out in 2021, they still have two major updates left. Thankfully one is about to drop. |

I can't afford healthcare, a house, or to have kids or go on vacation even though I'm working 24/7. In my downtime, I don't have time to waste my free hours that I could be using to relax and enjoy my hobbies reading up on how so and so politician is the biggest asshole or how they may or may not pass x law. Or make angry posts online, I got to save my angry posts for when people try to ruin my hobbies after all, since that's my lifeblood and how I stay happy and distract myself from the harshness of the real world. |

But I had no Trek knowledge and I didn't know that Star Fleet usually doesn't run around screaming down hallways losing control of their emotions and cursing. I watched the second movie, Wrath of Khan and still had no Star Trek knowledge but I didn't enjoy that one nearly as much as the first. If there is any more after that they had already lost my interest. |
