I liked that, only thing that sucked was I only had one controller so me an my friends took turns with our characters. Back then a GC controller still costed 50 bucks so I couldn't afford a new one.

That's pretty much my entire problem with the game, I think I did time it out to 28 seconds or something, at least for the PC version - but also include the outro time with is pretty close as well. Let's round this up to 1 minute.

This means every 60 battles is an hour of dead air.

Las time I measured it was 22 seconds on my ps3, not as long but still quite a wait.
