The North Dakota House of Representatives passed a bill that would prevent rules requiring face masks, a mandate one lawmaker ripped as diabolical silliness.

The states lower chamber voted 50-44 Monday to prohibit state and local governments, schools and businesses from ordering mask mandates amid the coronavirus pandemic, The Grand Forks Herald reported.

The bill will head next to the Senate.

Rep. Jeff Hoverson, the bills sponsor, has characterized the mask requirements as diabolical silliness.

The mask is a part of a larger apparatus of a movement of unelected, wealthy bureaucrats, who are robbing our freedoms and perpetuating lies, Hoverson said, Prairie Public Press reported.

Meanwhile, Rep. Jason Dockter argued that a ban on masks would take away control from local governments.

If people wanted to decide to have a mask mandate, they should have that choice, Dockter said. They should also have the choice not to mandate.

46.5% of the state voted for Biden, so the collective mindset that all of Texas is nothing but big ego, hate filled republicans is kind of getting old. Regardless of political standing, victim blaming while people are suffering and dying is tasteless. It's pretty clear that their leadership has gravely failed them. If they continue to vote for them, they know what they are getting and what kind of people they are and how they handle crisis. You can't fix that either way. I still hope for the best for everyone there experiencing power outages, contaminated water situations, and poor conditions that the state wasn't prepared for.

the issue is that these games of trying to gotcha other politicians out of being assholes will not only never work, millions of american citizens suffer as a result of it. you cant argue texas is a state, they should have federal regulation! while at the same time saying theyre on their own, no federal help! i believe the former to be true, they SHOULD abide by federal regulations as much as anywhere else

Thats... a fair point. I have hit a deer twice. Both times I knew for a fact that I hit a deer. Depending on road conditions, you might not know for certain you hit a deer but I can see myself making that logical assumption depending on where I hit someone.

If Im on a highway known for deers early on a foggy morning and hit something, I would probably assume its a deer too. So destroying the man for it without knowing the details isnt 100% fair.

He crashed his car an only reported AFTER hours. Tell if why would you wait hours to report a cash. Clearly this was a DWI, and dude literally went on the shoulder to hit someone. If you hit something on the shoulder would just say oh it must have been a deer ?

I am not looking for pity or anything like that. Just typing this out is helping me.

I have been up for like 24 hours, just feeling bad. I have some medication, but I know that can really mess you up so I don't want to start it. Maybe It should.They say my issues are mild..but they still make me feel really bad. Anywho just wanted to tell someone that . And since I have been staying up for literal days I have been a lot more hungry. So I am making those gains..just in bad way. :( .

Since Covid started I have been working from home,and then a few months ago my car broke so I can't even drive to get curb side anymore. Since I don't NEED to get to work I have not fixed my car. So that means I have been stuck in the house a while. And just a lot of issues with my turtle tanks. The Filters are not working.

I know a lot of people have it worse. There are CE member are stuck without power in Texas. There are people here who are hungry. So my issues are not that bad. But I just feel so bad.

Well all that sad stuff. I can't end like that. I might be addicted to huniepop 2. Apparently I have going thru Tetris syndrome. So end on something a less bad than the other things.
