Kellogg is generally considered to be the person who popularized peanut butter. It was originally a diet food, high in protein and requiring minimal chewing. Kellogg was a bit of a kook, you know.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I believe it should be your biggest. That way you have a chance to burn off all those calories during the day. Dinner should be your smallest meal so that your body isn't packing away those unused calories as fat while you're sleeping.

Butter has a low smoke point, 302F (150C), so you have to be very careful with your heat. If you're sauteing or frying, you're better off using clarified butter or ghee, which has a smoke point of 482F (250C).

Because you never know how much salt is in salted butter. If you start with unsalted, then you know exactly how much you are adding.

In reality, most recipes aren't that sensitive and I use salted butter for almost everything instead.

But I wouldn't go out of my way just to "experience" it; those are almost certainly not the hair-raising, rollercoaster-type inclines/declines that the images may seem to suggest.

It's actually only about 6%, which will make your car work to climb it and might give you some trouble if you've got bad brakes, but it's no different than driving on the Grapevine through the Tejon Pass in California (also 6%, and a hell of a lot longer)

Just make sure you use them regularly. If you don't use them often enough, they'll cancel the card with no warning. You don't need to carry a balance, just make a purchase every so often.

I had a card that I forgot about and they cancelled it 1 year after I'd last used it. They never even told me it was cancelled, let alone warn me it was in danger!

Adjusted for inflation? I had an Atari 800, which had an MSRP of $999.99, which is $4,116.33 in 2022 dollars. My grandfather spent $2795 for a Kaypro 10, that's over $8,000 in modern dollars.

More recently I bought my spouse a $4000 Dell XPS gaming laptop while he was traveling overseas installing software for the Air Force. It had two hard drives in a RAID array, a high-end video card, a 17" screen, full-size illuminated keyboard with keypad, DVD writer, and a TV tuner. But Dell screwed up and accidentally sent me two of them (and ignored me when I asked about returning one), so really they were only $2000 each. Even though the system is like 12 years old, with SSDs replacing the HDDs it still runs Windows 10 better than a lot of the newer laptops at work.

I have all 4 of the Space Odyssey books, I just haven't gotten around to reading them. I only recently got 2001 because Amazon almost never puts it on sale, unlike the others.

Today I bought some Manchego (which is a Spanish sheep's milk cheese), Havarti (a Danish cow's milk washed-curd cheese), and a Mediterranean herb Gouda (A Dutch cow's milk cheese).

I also bought some peperoncinis stuffed with cream cheese and feta. They're SOOO good!

He also threw in other religious people like Jehova Witnesses, Mormons, Catholics who worship Mary, etc, into going to hell. I don't get that. For example, Catholics do worship and pray to God.
