I just finished playing Adventures of Mana for the second time. It's the remake of Final Fantasy Adventure, which I played a LOT on the Game Boy. Last time I played I was going for achievements and kept grinding until I got to level 99. This time I only kept going until I maxed out my STR. The final boss was incredibly easy and his final form I finished off with just 3 charged attacks while taking no damage.

I'm a pretty good chef, and I've invented a few dishes of my own. But the thing that everyone seems to rave about is my soups. I created a really great baked potato soup that everyone seems to love.

I've also managed to change a few people's minds about Brussels sprouts. If you don't like them, you've probably never had them prepared correctly.

I got the norovirus once. Nasty illness. Stuff was shooting out both ends, at the same time. Not fun.

I still have no idea where I got it from, but the last thing I ate before getting sick was apple fritters from Sam's Club. I know that wasn't what made me sick (norovirus doesn't affect you that quickly), but to this day my stomach still does flip-flops whenever I see the stuff.

I've made pizzas with naan, pita, and French bread, and I've made a pizza burrito which uses sauce, cheese and toppings wrapped in a flour tortilla.

Ginkgo biloba is supposed to improve capillary blood flow, which may help your fingers warm up a bit.

I can't wear gloves while using the computer, and mittens are right out, but I've got wrist warmers that look like a knitted tube with a hole in the side. It slips over my wrist so that my fingers stick out the end and my thumb pokes through the hole. My fingers are still exposed so I can type, use tools, and handle small or delicate parts while keeping my hands warmer than they would be without it.



I've even seen an electric heated version on Amazon, though I haven't tried one.

I love the ending music for Final Fantasy Legend.

It also has the best exploit of all time, allowing you to kill bosses with a single hit if you drag a particular useless weapon with you from like halfway through the game.

The SAW is supposed to compare the attacker's Strength against the target's Defense and if the Strength is higher, the target is KOed, but the programmers got the check backwards. It only kills if the Defense is HIGHER than the attacker's Strength, which makes it totally useless for most ordinary enemies but it will one-shot any boss character unless you've spent forever leveling up.

The thing that bugs me the most about "Threshold" is that in the end they discard a viable way they could get home instantly just because of the risk of monsterization, which takes several days and they have the cure for! Just fly the ship back to Earth and start treating everybody immediately. I'd rather have a few lizard orgies than remain stuck in the Delta Quadrant for another 70 years.

I sanitize food prep surfaces occasionally using an extremely dilute bleach solution. I bought a bottle of Clorox Hard Surface Sanitizer a long time ago and noticed the active ingredient was just 0.0095% bleach. The bleach I use in my laundry is 8.25%, so to mix my own version requires just 1/10th of a teaspoon of laundry bleach in a 32 oz spray bottle of water. I can't really measure anything that small, so I think I end up using like 1/8 teaspoon. You spray it on the counter, sink, table, stove, dishes, whatever hard surface you want to sanitize and then just let it dry.

Even extremely dilute concentrations of bleach will kill germs if you let it sit long enough.

I'd probably go with a Transformer or something at that point, assuming that they're fully-functional vehicles and assuming that there was one with some kind of living facilities, at which point I'd wander the Earth righting wrongs or something. (Or causing wrongs, I'm undecided.)

I check to make sure I've got the right number of items, but I don't open the wrappers and make sure they gave me the right things. I've actually had that happen a few times. Taco Johns uses the same wrappers for chicken tacos that they do for beef tacos, and a chocolate milkshake from Freddies looks almost exactly the same as a coffee milkshake.
