Used to, don't have much cash to donate. I am cleaning out my old storage unit, however, and donating vast amounts of stuff to Goodwill and Habitat for Humanity. Gave the latter a brand new still-in-the-crate gas stove that originally cost $1500. It apparently sold in under 3 hours.

CBD oil doesn't seem to do much for me by itself, but it does seem to work very well when I take it with ibuprofen for tense and sore muscles. The biggest side effect appears to be a much lighter wallet; the stuff is insanely expensive at least around here ($60 for 30ml of oil with 500g of CBD, roughly 15-30 doses). Hopefully the price will start coming down as more states are legalizing hemp production.

You have to make sure you're buying from a reputable source. If you search for "CBD" on Amazon, you'll find hundreds of listings for "hemp oil", none of which make any mention of actual CBD content. Don't buy it online, find a local "head shop" or if you live in a state/country where cannabis is legal, a licensed dispensary.

(There's a head shop in Omaha called 42 Pipes and Tobacco. The name always makes me giggle.)

You can make your own spreadable butter by softening a stick of butter (don't melt it), cutting it into pieces, then mixing in 1/3 cup of good quality oil using a fork until it's well blended. Put it in a plastic or glass container with a lid and refrigerate.

You can double, triple or even quadruple this recipe if you use a lot of butter. You can also blend it in a food processor, mixer or blender; it's faster this way but leaves you with more stuff to wash.

You can add herbs, spices, sugar, salt, food coloring or other ingredients while you're mixing it to make flavored or colored butter.

Started using the library for the first time in like 15 years recently when I found out that they have new release DVDs & BluRays.

Libraries lend all kinds of stuff besides just books. Depending on your local library, of course, you can get fishing poles, tools, musical instruments, cookware, tennis rackets, basketballs, record players, small appliances, 3D printers, toys, cameras, sewing machines, telescopes, bicycles, projectors, and more.

It totally blew my mind the first time I went to the Plattsmouth Public Library and saw an entire shelf full of cake pans.

Many libraries offer digital books in addition to print. You sign up online, usually with a service like Overdrive (https://www.overdrive.com/) and enter your library card ID. Then you can check out books using apps like Libby or Sora, as well as the Amazon Kindle, NOOK, or Kobo ereaders.

Never really had a bad cellphone, but I did have one absolutely horrible PDA ages ago. It was a Toshiba e805, one of the first PDAs with a VGA screen and built-in WiFi. But it was extremely unstable and would hard reset itself every few weeks, deleting everything. I sent it in for repair several times and it took Toshiba several months each time to return it. I finally just sold it on eBay for almost nothing (it was about $600 new, about $850 in today's dollars) and ordered a Dell Axim X51v, which was one of the best non-phone PDAs I'd ever had.

I've never been given a speeding ticket. I have had a cop on a motorcycle pull up along side of me and wag his finger at me before peeling off and taking a different freeway ramp. I was also pulled over and given a warning one time, and then like a month later they raised the speed limit on that road to what I was driving.

Only ticket I've ever gotten was complete bullcrap. I made a right turn at 8:50 am when the sign said "no right turn 6-9 am" and it was the day after daylight savings time ended.

I liked the original Battlefield games (1942 & Vietnam), but the newer ones got too reliant on the servers. You couldn't play 2042 in single-player without connecting to their servers. Which, of course, EA is fond of shutting down after a while, making the game useless.

I still haven't played Mass Effect 3, and never will until it's available on Steam.

EA got super greedy with the Sims and started releasing zillions of DLCs. Screw that noise.

I make them all the time. You can get a pack of 10 naan (each roughly a 10"x6" oval) for $4 at Sam's Club. I also use their Italian cheese blend (mozzarella, provolone, and cheddar), which I think is $12 for 5 pounds. I bake them in a convection oven at 450F for about 12 minutes. The crust comes out crispy and the cheese golden and delicious.

You definitely don't want to give booze, some people don't drink, can't drink or have issues with alcohol.

Go for stocking stuffer type gifts. I found some pocket-sized crank-powered flashlights for $1 at RadioShack and gave them as stocking stuffers one year. I also bought a bunch of nice looking pen & pencil sets for like $5 at Costco. Menards had pocket screwdrivers for $2 each and I bought a bunch to hand out to my team at work.

It's probably too late, but something personalized, like with your school/business logo, would make the gift extra special.
