Oh, and since I got two IMs a couple minutes apart from people as they found this topic, the answer to "how did I come up with this?" is actually pretty simple.

I've seen a bunch of rank 100's, and I always get disappointed when I think about songs I might have considered nominating, but I either go nahh, or "aww, I only get 5," or whatever. This was a chance for me to put up an entire list...and then the results get to be the product of more than one person's opinions. Plus, it's an interesting reversal on the normal rank 100 formula.

I have no idea how this will work out in the long run, but the goal ultimately will be to make a number of passes through the entire list. I'm hoping like 5 or 6. We'll see. The songs on the first pass are just alpha by title, but they'll get rotated in the second, and then I'll probably sort them by performance from there or something.

No, I didn't type that backwards. The topic itself is backwards. This is a rank 100 topic where I made the entire list, and you're going to help me rank them.

The process is actually very simple. /sign and I will give you 5 songs out of the 100 to rank. Ranking those songs are your responsibility. Give them to me from best (5) to worst (1). Note that the best song gets a +5, and the worst a +1. Yes, you must rank them all, and yes they must get separate rankings.

Once you rank those songs, you are free to sign up for another 5 songs, and I will give those to you when I get around to it. Ideally, the board collective will go through the songs enough times to actually differentiate the list, and then we will get a grand recap...so feel free to give comments on your songs, because I'll use them during the recap.

As difficult as it might seem for a woman that attractive, Kate Upton is overrated.

yay. I know I would have been pissed if I had lost ~40 hours of game time for no reason whatsoever. Good to know you can finally beat the game.

I, too, have a poor track record with finishing FF games. I think I got to the part where Cid is your primary character and then stopped. The only FF games I've actually finished are 1 and 13. Yeah, figure that one out. Though, to be fair, I would have beaten 8 if my crappy PC port hadn't crashed so often I got pissed and gave up.

I don't think I'd ever want to play Scrabble against a computer. Chess is bad enough, but at least you can fathom all the possible moves of chess, even if you don't necessarily see the advantage in making many of them.

IMO, espionage was one of the dumbest aspects of CIV w/xpac. Just annoying, useless for me, and made my governors produce great spies I never wanted. I see espionage is back?

And obviously so is religion, which I know little about except what I've inferred from this topic and the other one.


Either way, I'll probably get the expansion, and either way I'll probably wait until it goes on sale, but figured I'd ask.

So something I've never understood about auction houses in games, particularly what I'm hearing here with RMT...the solution to getting money in all games is "sell on the AH." And yet that mantra is repeated so often that it's hard to imagine it being a zero-sum system. It's like the AH magically creates money out of nowhere if everyone is supposed to get their money there. I had that impression with WoW, for sure, and now it sounds like everyone (in this thread at least) is making bits of money off the RMT. I know a fool and his money are easily parted, but who the hell is buying?
