The bathroom at my house has bright lights so I always thought my teeth were okay, but the work bathroom is less forgiving, so the other day I took a long hard look and they are somewhat yellow. Not awful but definitely not pretty.

I see a lot of weird things on the internet. I really just plan on brushing my teeth more often and longer during each session, and I floss regularly anyways. I just don't know if there is anything else I need to be doing. I don't feel like concocting a wives tail tooth whitening paste but there might me something doctors reccomend I can do aside from brushing more often

Was visiting from So Cal for the holidays and my mother in law took us here for dinner. The food was delicious, the service was ooookay. But they get three stars because I asked the waitress if I could keep my Yuengling pint glass that my two beers had been served in (it was adorable, with a depiction of three puppies on it). Our food and bar tab was over $100 for three of us. The waitress asked the owner and he said No! Laaaaame. Don't think we will be going back there next time we visit

I feel like it's super weird to knock off a point or two when you said the food and service were good, just because they wouldn't let you keep the glass for free.

Y'know, earlier a girl was telling me she wanted to help me out with getting a girlfriend, but that I had to at least trim it, because no girl is going to want to kiss you.

Okay, so I want so bad to make it a full year, but I do want to potentially find a girlfriend, too. I mean, I'd want to find a girl who didn't care what it looked like, but perhaps, you know it is a comical thing, my stache.

So, I am conflicted... I'd give it a good trim, and not cut it off. Or if I cut it off it would just be regrown back to some length

I was at a stop light and a car pulls up to me in the turning lane, playing coldplay or something(ugh). He turns it off and I think he is talking on his phone "hey man..." "that stache is killer!" and his light changes and off he goes into the sunset.

So...folks, that sent me over the moon. God dangit, that made me feel good.

Hey now! My ribs weren't good but they didn't taste like actual poop.

I know people are allowed to have opinions, but the person my mom knows(her therapist/doctor) said she prefers this place to another BBQ place my mom and I love. I am honestly wondering how that is even possible? Though I don't know what she got at each place, but yeah...

I don't know if the place I really like would be considered top tier BBQ overall for the United States, but it's leagues better than this shithole I ate at today and tastes amazing. Again, I don't care too much for yelp reviews but 2/5 and multiple comments about microwaved food vs 4.5/5 and everybody I've taken there loving it.

I really haven't noticed much by way of videos I liked. I can tell the search results are definitely different, but a lot of videos I liked came from the actual artists themselves(blue checkmark, free video)

I got ribs, a brisket sandwich, and mac and cheese. Cornbread on the side.

The ribs were bland and forgettable. I feel like I would have had a better meal at Applebee's slathered in that Corporate.

The brisket sandwich was okay at best. the BBQ sauce on that was actually pretty good.

The mac and cheese was okay, but not amazing like BBQ mac and cheese should be.

Cornbread was...i dont know. stale bread with some cornbread flavor.

But man, those ribs. Lacked any real flavor....I actually kind of was in denial and started to like it because I can't say I've ever struck out this hard at a restaurant.

Somebody told my mom they liked this place better than a different BBQ place in the area(that we've been to and love), so we went to check it out. After being underwhelmed by their food(and the ribs, again, my god...so bland) I look on yelp and their review score is a 2/5. I don't normally care about reviews but that would have turned me off entirely.

In the reviews I see multiple comments about "microwaved food" and I kinda have to agree, this stuff did taste a little old and reheated.

AND to top it all off, I heard an employee say to a customer tips on the tip line of the credit card receipt go to the owner, the cash tips in the jar are for employees. That sounds suspect as fuck if not actually illegal. Not only would I never go back because the food sucked, the owner seems like a scumbag, too. However, I did not tip cash in the jar because the food was so bad, but this is why I always prefer to tip cash directly, because I never know if any account shenanigans are going on behind the scenes.

Just to be clear, I wouldn't mind being pegged.

I used dish detergent and it seems to have worked.

I thought touching poop backwards would be some kind "i can touch poop and be fine" loop hole, but then I realized poop backwards is poop.

I have no explanation for it. I went to shit, it was one of those ones where you wipe 20 times and still find shit on the paper, so I picked a wipe in the first place, because that gets a deeper clean.

I dont know, I wiped once and emerged with a gloop of poop on my hand. I can't explain it.

Anyways, how the hell so I get rid of the smell? I washed my hands but the slight shit stench remains

See, working for the state run liquor chain, I hoard these things because our company is so bad, I can't ever guarentee I'l find something again or the price won't rise to a much higher level.

So, it's kind of like an RPG situation wherein I do not want to use the good stuff ever, and may even keep it until i beat the game.

However, when friends come over they can tap into it, but I personally mainly drink beer now and I don't even touch these bottles, outside of a drink or two when I first get 'em. Most of these bottles I have aren't even that fancy necessarily, so they aren't like something where I don't drink them because they were ultra rare or expensive. Just a buncha shit i've bought.

Rum, tequilla, bourbon, scotch. I love them all. The only real things I lack are gin, and cordials. I have two gins and one cordial.

The best watches in terms of absolute accuracy are going to be quartz. They lose a couple seconds a month or so. Automatic watches can lose up to 45 seconds a day or more. high quality ones are under 10 seconds with certified ones a second or two a day at the most.

However, automatic watches get a lot of interest despite their accuracy flaws because of several reasons.

The first is the fact there is no battery. Winding the watch(if it does wind) and wearing it will keep it running for roughly 40-80 hours depending on the particular movement inside. Some fancier watches go much longer. My Hamilton goes for 80 hours and is around 5 seconds a day. I timed it once at 5, but I haven't really kept track since. It is accurate though for an automatic. The fact there is no battery and that the power source is your own wrist movements makes it feel personal. You can have all of this data in some cases on a device you literally power. Not just hours, minutes, seconds and the date you can get even crazier things without any electricity. That leads me into some of the things you can do with no battery.

GMT hand(a 4th hand, usually, for keeping track of a second time zone)
Chronograph(stopwatch)
Annual calendar
Perpetual calendar(accounts for leap year)
Day-date
Moon phase
Power reserve indicator
I can do all of that(save moon phase, though some can) on my Casio Pro Trek. Shit hits the fan this is the watch I want, but it is WAY more interesting having one of these complications on a mechanical watch, or even a quartz without digital displays.

The second is as pointed out, all the gears. Some watches, such as my Hamilton have an open caseback so you can see the balance wheel move and the Escapement running. Some watches also have open faces wherein this view is provided on the front.

The third is the fact most luxury watches are automatic, so if you're looking at buying a lot of these brands, that is the movement you shall get. Those should be amazing accuracy, 1 second a day or so, for like a Rolex, Omega, etc.

The fourth is the sweep of the second hand. On automatic watches the second hand does not click like a quartz watch. You see clearly defined ticking motions for the second hand. On automatic watches, the second hand goes around the dial 21,600 beats per hour to over 30,000 times for high beat, providing this kind of interesting sweeping motion. Some watches, such as the Grand Seiko Spring Drive(not a true automatic as it uses automatic and quartz elements) have such a smooth sweeping motion it doesn't even look like 60 second pass in a minute, yet it does.

Working at a liquor store i dont care if it is expired and will generally push the sale through but i warn people we can and do reject people as a result.

If you're supposed to wear a mask if you haven't gotten your shots yet, that means that 95% of the customers have been vaccinated, right?

I wanted to take this shot because it was near dusk(looking at the time stamp it was 4PM, but now that I remember it was kinda cloudy) I think and needed a long ass exposure. I think I had it on the ticket for fifteen minutes. However, because I had to position my tripod directly in front of the entrance to my house, I had to cut the exposure time in half. I wanted this to be brighter and more legible, but I do like how the sky turned out super velvety.

Yeah, the thing is the AP will be more accurate, more reliable, have better finishing and other things. Though this isn't a fair comparison, the AP will be better in almost every way, as you'd expect from a watch that could cost 20-40 grand. But a vostok is 99% cheaper and a steal for what you get at that price point, so there are no arguments from me about it.
