I can't say for the ultra premium invite only rich person cards, but any decent card with a fee has ways to easily make more cash back than the annual fee. Chase Sapphire Reserve has an annual $50 hotel credit, so if you use that you only need to make back $45 in rewards(annual fee is $95), which isn't terribly difficult with normal spending with the rewards they give back.

It's always a balance between the fee vs you actually making back more in rewards. If you don't feel you can, it would be idiotic to get a card with an annual fee. If you can get more back because the rewards categories are something that interest you, you'd be letting free money walk.

No.

I watch porn and have no issue with it, but I go to dedicated spaces for it. I've never needed to use GF/Reddit/Tumblr/whatever for porn or sexy videos/images. So any time a community cleans that aspect up I generally say, "good"

Though with that said all of thee Fandom decisions are whack and killing the site, so this doesn't mean I'd want them to do it if I could pick, because of what that does spell long term.

edit: and yes, the overarching "definition" of hornyposting to include basic shit like kissing your girlfriend is also weak.

The body isn't saying that, unless I missed it.

"However, these taxes have been significantly reduced in recent yearsthe top corporate tax rate in the U.S. was reduced from 35 percent to 21 percent in 2018, and the estate tax now generates only a quarter of the tax revenues it raised in the 1970s, the Times noted."

"In the 1960s, the 400 richest Americans paid more than half of their income in taxes, according to the Times. By 2018, America's wealthiest individuals paid just 23 percent of their income in taxes. Meanwhile, the bottom half of income earners paid 24 percent of their income in taxes."

The article is saying the percentage that the wealthy pay is down. Of course, their overall dollar amount is still going to be high, but we aren't talking about that. Nor is the article.

Every country just has a national "beer" that is either the most well known brand of that country or the best selling within its borders. These generally are just "meh" but they're well known and get the job done.

In a world with thousands of beer brands and options, I get why people hate Corona, because there is too much variety and too much good stuff out there. But while I dislike Corona, I wouldn't judge anybody that likes it.

Corona is also weird because it is sold in clear bottles for reasons I cannot comprehend, so the chances of getting a skunked one are higher than beer in cans or in amber bottles, so a lot of peoples main experiences with Corona may be from a skunked bottle. Though I do not really think it's that great to begin with, imagine a "rotten" version of one.

Boy Scouts is a religious organization. Most troops are sponsored by and meet at a church. There's references to God in the oath and laws you recite at the beginning of each meeting plus a prayer as well.

Ah okay. I didn't realize that it was religious because i never went to church as a kid none of the religious stuff ever connected with me so I was mostly unaware

Since he us gone, I still don't know why but I have always wondered. Did he save me from some predators or my original idea was since it was held at a church on normal meeting nights maybe it was too religious for his liking

I generally have money on me for a variety of reasons, the main three being
1) as a currency collector, I'm always ready to buy(for face value) when I see a note at work I want(Cashier)
2) I like to tip at restaurants or whatever in cash
3) in case I am somewhere and the credit/debit system isn't working. This hasn't happened in a while, but it is a valid reason to be prepared, since working retail I see this happen in my own store 1-2 times a year.

One thing I've always found funny about moderating here is you'll make a harmless joke about some sort of celebrity or whatever and get modded for offensive. Obviously there is a line to walk, like I wouldnt say anybody here is a loser, but some of the things I've been moderated for in the past seemed so harmless I think the person who was offended should have to step up and say why.

"I feel like Carol Burnett is a loser"

Reminds me of another one I had that I did not care for, but this one surprised me.

I bought I think the most recent edition of Dogfishhead's 120 minute IPA. I know what i'm in for with these highly priced limited edition things: off the charts ABV and one bottle is like drinking a meal. This one I really disliked because while I like an IPA, this one really tasted like sludge. I don't really know, but it was just...it tasted more like a porter.

It ages in the bottle, they say, so maybe in a few years it'll get better.

Southern Tier Orange Twist

I've dumped one beer ever down the drain. I forget what it was, but it was something local. The worst beer I ever remember having was Corona Light, which was not a drain pour for some reason, but this may be one.

What I failed to realize is, this is an imperial ale. I assumed it was a stout by mistake because generally, most of the creamy flavors are stouts.

Decent orange cream flavor to open it up, but the ale flavor, which I don't mind, just mixes really awful with it. It is 8.6% and you don't taste the alcohol, but the ale taste is not meshing with this.

Now, this is a collaboration with Perry's Ice Cream, so I figured it would be more creamy(much like the Kentucky brand vanilla cream stout I had a week ago), but for some reason I get a decent cream, orange peel zest(FHJDKL) and then the ale.

Perhaps if I poured it into a glass it would taste better, and maybe I could come around to it because it's not too far off from what I wanted but yeah.

The argument is possibly dangerous but predictable with clear cut precautions and steps to take so you don't encounter one or if you do, you are safe.

A human however can possibly be dangerous and unpredictable with no real clear cut steps to take to prevent it or come out of it safe.

That's the argument. Which is basically what torchic said but I had to say this too because so many people just cannot figure it out.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Reese, but Clark is the household name right now. I don't watch women's college ball or WNBA(But I also don't watch basketball in general), but I know of Clark. I also know of Angel Reese but only in relation to her on court beef with Clark("you can't see me" gesture which is really just trash talk which happens at all levels of play, men or women, so i wasn't sure what the controversy was). That's it. The WNBA needs to market both stars well, but as said, we're talking about the very first preseason game of the year, so we need far more sample size before we can judge anything.

I remember liking this show when it was on but it also got really annoying or something, I couldn't quite place my finger on it. I guess each episode had a catchphrase(or at least a lot of them) and that's probably it. I do like "I'm Respecting Your Privacy By Knocking But Asserting My Authority As Your Parent By Coming In Anyway" though.

I also remember the special Channel Chasers was one of my favorite things back then. Super fun seeing all the cartoon adaptations. I loved the Simpsons one because they introduced me to a reality I had seen but didn't actually comprehend: in The Simpsons, every adult is really stupid. It was right there in plain sight, but this actually was a wow moment for me and I don't know why.
