Which would be appropriate, considering how much of their culture they stole from us.

Hell, most of what the average Weeaboo worships in regards to Japanese culture is their anime and manga, which were more or less created by the Japanese adapting the Disney cartoons and comic books they were exposed to via American servicemen post-WWII. Along with the entire Japanese video game industry being rooted in the original American video game industry (that really only shifted to Japan when Atari tanked). Even Sega was originally an American company until Japanese interests bought it.

If you're going by that logic, America stole pretty much all of its culture from Europe.

Well, American culture as a whole is an extension of European culture, whether people like to admit it or not. It's not quite STOLEN, since European colonists brought it w/ them.

Also it's not like anyone created their culture out of thin air. All cultures built on other ones.

Yeah people demand what's basically the originals unchanged and at that point you might as well just play the original and save yourself a headache of waiting for a company to make exactly what you want.

That's fine if you have the original hardware and a way to play it on modern hardware and still make it look good. But that's getting more difficult and expensive as time goes by, and quite frankly the convenience of being able to play it on Steam would be nice.

Again, to take Disney as an example, they rerelease their old movies on blu-ray and digital media so that people can watch those movies on current hardware. They don't "upgrade" to CGI animation or add "bonus content." They give the movies as they used to be because that's what people want.

And yes, colorized movies do exist but it's not like studios just release those and don't even give an option to watch in black and white. In fact the best sellers of old movies tend to be restored black and white ones that preserve the original as it was in theaters, because that's what people want.

Again, I don't think it should be unreasonable to want this from games, but game companies seem to think differently.

Pretty sure that there are mods that fix them plus the other visual issues.

There was a mod that restored the bilinear filter from the SNES version and it made everything look worse. The guy who made the mod, at the time he released it, said it was for people who had a bad memory about how good the original game actually looked.

There is nothing wrong with the graphics. They look a lot better in battle than on the map.

That's actually pretty funny. I don't own the PC version anyway, just trying to get the TC to stop bitching about nothing.

I think the TC's complaints are totally valid.

Imagine if they changed one or more of the classic Disney films with different artwork for blu-ray or something. People would be livid! And with good reason. Would anyone think they made the films better if they "updated" the artwork and released them with "extra content"?

No. People want to see the same movies they saw when they were kids, because that's what they like.

Wanting to play classic games that actually look like when they were originally released is not an unreasonable request. Unfortunately Square-Enix seems to think it is. And for whatever reason this is accepted as standard practice throughout the game industry. I'm not even saying the new artwork is worse. I'm saying that I want the old artwork because that's what I enjoyed before. To use my former example, if they changed the artwork on Disney films would anyone even care if the new artwork was better or not? Of course not. That wouldn't even enter into the conversation.

If I loved a game before, and I go back to play it, I want it to be as close to the original as it can be.Yeah, it's nostalgia, but so what? There's nothing wrong with enjoying something nostalgically sometimes. With classic games, I am much more likely to buy them when they are almost exactly the same as the original. I'd much rather have that than a bunch of overpowered dungeons giving me overpowered super weapons I don't need.

Again, why is gaming the only area where wanting something to look, sound, and feel like the original considered an unreasonable request?

He probably assumes they all do and is completely unaware of how many teachers will often be working until late at night with class preparation, checking student work, talking to parents, having meetings, filling out paperwork, etc.

I mean it's true to a certain extent for games but even the 3D Metroid's layouts make sense for the most part. Like the pirate bases actually look like bases where they can walk around and do stuff. In 2D metroids their bases are just random rooms with obstacles that would serve no purpose for the pirates / actually hinder them from using the room or getting places since they don't have the same tools samus has.

I think that Metroid is just supposed to be a bunch of naturally-occurring caves inside of Zebes that the pirates are inhabiting.

That, or the crumbling ruins of a civilization.

In any case, they aren't supposed to be rooms serving a functional purpose.

This is not actually true. The national minimum is 13 but all prefectures and areas set their own age of consent, which is usually 18.

The only thing the 13 year old "age of consent" means is that if a Japanese person commits a sex crime with someone and flees to Japan, the government won't help arrest him unless the victim was under 13.

That image went to a lot of trouble but I don't see how it's any more definitive than saying

1/3 = 0.3333...

2/3 = 0.6666...

0.3333... + 0.6666... = 1/3 + 2/3

1/3 + 2/3 = 1

0.3333... + 0.6666... = 0.9999...

Therefore 0.9999... = 1

I mean this seems like it's just a much more convoluted version of the same thing. If the transitive property proof doesn't convince you than how is this any better?

Really this all gets down to a semantics argument. Repeating numbers aren't real numbers so much as imperfections of the decimal system in showing certain values. So whether it equals one or not depends on how you look at it. I wouldn't say 0.9999... equalsone so much as it is a redundant and pointless because there is no actual imperfection of the decimal system it applies to.

I just say 0.9999... isn't a number.

Or a better way to put it is that, I don't see these "proofs" as being proof that 0.9999... = 1. I see them as proof that repeating decimals are imperfect representations of the values they represent. They are just proving the flaws of the decimal system.

There's a lot of weird logic in this topic, if a place is open till 1 and I wanna order at 12:50 I'm gonna do it. If you don't want orders coming in that late then stop taking them 30 minutes before.

A lot of people just don't understand how common courtesy works.

"As long as I'm within the bare minimum required by the official rules, what's the problem?"

The point is that you should try to be kind, and considerate of other people. Yes, you are allowed to enter businesses and shop or order things as long as you get there before they close. BUT, if you go right up to the last minute, then you are forcing the people there to work later than if you didn't do that. Of course you don't have to do that, but if it's not a big deal then why wouldn't you come in earlier or go to a place that's open later?

If for some reason it is a big deal, and you have to go to a place right before it closes, at least you should feel bad about the fact that other people have to work longer because of your bad planning and act apologetic. Because you didn't have to go in right before closing. You chose to.

But a lot of people seem to not see why they should care about other people's feelings or that they should just take it for granted that no one should question or have a problem with their actions as long as they aren't officially prohibited by the rules.

It's hard to argue with this mentality because they clearly just have a different fundamental way of seeing the world compared to most people.

Part of it is because having the comics cross over and characters interact with each other has been a staple of super hero stories since at least the sixties, especially with Marvel. The old Spider-Man comics are loaded with "crossover" issues. The Marvel solo movies have also included lots of heroes in each others' movies, to great box office success. And yet for some reason people act outraged to see Iron Man taking a prominent role in a Spider-Man movie.

(This is also a problem for Harley Quinn if you ask me)

I'm gradually going from "pessimistic but hoping for the best" to "cautiously optimistic." Gal Gadot is an awesome looking Wonder Woman, but unfortunately she has fallen flat when it came to acting the part rather than posing in pictures.

But if she acts better in the new movie, or she's surrounded by good directing and a good script, then it could be good.

I never referenced any particular site, since I can't. I have no idea what you saw.

Okay, fine. I meant the white nationalist site you clearly read and are parroting. The one that has all the art you are imploring us to see.

Anyway it's really annoying for you to be like "hey don't just judge when you haven't even seen the site but I can't tell you which site" and then when we DO see the site and still say we don't agree with you, you say "I never referenced any particular site. I have no idea what you saw."

You won't even discuss things unless we've seen the site.

You won't tell us which site.

When we try to talk about what we think might be the site, you refuse to argue because "you don't know which site we saw."

Damn, people. This is some omega level shitposting here.

1. The art under the tower is not violent at all so it's extremely inaccurate to call it "anti-white" based on a bunch of other pictures he drew.

2. The site you are referencing cherry picks art where it is black-colored figures attacking white-colored figures and acts like this is all his art but it actually has a lot of art with black figures attacking other black figures.

3. The colors are abstract, not human skin tones, so it doesn't necessarily represent black and white people. In fact there are other pictures where the black-colored figures look like white police officers beating a black man.

4. Even if it is supposed to be black people attacking white people, that would be racist against black people because it would be representing black people as violent.

5. We all know you're just posting white nationalist bullshit, so why don't you find something better to do?.

TopicTim Allen sitcom "Last Man Standing" canceled despite strong ratings

These days it's about more than ratings. For starters, ratings just never get as high as they used to. Even the highest rated shows draw fewer people than a mediocre prime time show from 30 years ago. That means less advertising money. The only way a major prime time show can make big money is if they're also bringing in lots on international, DVD, and digital sales.

This show had good, not great, ratings. And I don't see anything about it being a big seller international, or a show that keeps selling after it's on the air.

Considering this, and the fact that the cost was going up, and it's easy to see why ABC would pull the plug. Especially because the show could suddenly drop in quality and popularity, in which case ABC would be really screwed.

Nixon fired the people investigating him in 1973. Willfully resigned in 1974 to avoid maximum embarrassment. Lol

I love that Watergate bullshit too.

Go look at Nixons accomplishments.

He started your precious Epa. He pushed for desegregation in the south and it worked. He met with China and the Soviet union, head on, during a time of extreme tension and the cold war. HE ENDED VIETNAM.

Muh watergate hurr durr bad nixon. Gtfo

Nixon did some good things as president but he was still a crook.
