What book are you not supposed to read until the end?

2 has cool charcaters and a good story, but TERRIBLE writing, dialogue, dungeons, gameflow, battles, loading, graphics, pretty much everything.

It needed a full remake, not that psp one. Stop remaking 3 and 4, and fix 2.

So is the government the villain, or the gangs, or is it two crappy groups ruining it for the innocent civilians?

I know the US pretty much ruined the place years ago, but what else is going on here?

Ive seen some people starting to get nostalgic over this one. When it came out, it was unanimously scolded for being more linear than any other in the series, having no side content, having incredibly poor shounen-tier anime writing, and no real towns.

The positives I can see are the boss battles being kind of fun and puzzle-like, good music, and looking nice. But the lack of anything to do is a serious low mark for me.

And i dont buy into the it opens up later bit. It just adds an area with more monster battles. It is truly the only side-activity in the entire game. Doing the thing youve been doing the whole game, but with a checklist.

Iirc, there was an option in the Japanese version to permanently change his name to Nanaki. Is this true?

Also, there are moments when he sleeps when he talks like a child.

In the Japanese version, when he gets to Cosmo Canyon, he starts using words more befitting of a child, by habit.

Honestly the world would be better without company owned social media.

JLPT isnt special or rare Japanese in any way. Its just ordinary Japanese. I see the grammar points that pop up on N1 all the time in actual native material. And the reading passages are all actual editorials and opinion pieces from Japanese publications. The only thing thats kinda unnatural on it is probably the listening portion.

Im not saying it is special. It is unnatural. It isnt bad to study, but Im just saying, dont expect to hear real Japanese people speak like that if you go to Japan.

Just gonna tell you though, JLPT isnt indicative of actual Japanese language. It is just a gatekeeping method to keep dirty foreigners away from Nipponmen jobs. The kanji used, the phrases, it isnt a reflection of the real world.

I still stand by the fact that Scarlet Letter is one of the worst books Ive ever read though. A great messageed, wrapped up in some of the most fluffed p-up, flowery, long-toothed tripe Ive ever had the misfortune of reading. Its painfully boring, as dull as the time period, and really thinks it is better than it is.

Starts at 2:50. This is the extra credits scene from Rockman 5 Complete works. It only ever appeared on the PS1, and no collection has ever had this track. Not even when Complete Works was in the Anniversary Collection on PS2. They just cut the track.

I dont believe this. Unless they changed everything, they would charge extra for anything besides veggies. And I visited home and went to a Subway, where they didnt cover anything. Maybe this was just your local Subway?

If you grew up in abject poverty in rural China in the 70s then fast food is a status symbol and sign of prosperity. A lot of other people in Asia have similar views. For Japanese, I have no idea why they pay so much for that shit.

I mean when your other option is Mos Burger.

I keep hearing Americans say that food prices in Japan are high and I think it's another one of those stereotypes from a different time like the unusually long work hours and high suicide rate. It was true decades ago, but it's certainly not true now.

But in general I think fast food here in Japan is overpriced and certainly not worth the price. This is because you can get quality food at a real restaurant for as less. Just not much incentive to spend more for some junk. China is even worse. McDonald's and KFC is like a luxury meal there, total waste of money.

Mdonalds and KFC, Pizza Hut, and especially Dominos are overpriced here. KFC is terrible here and costs so much. A large pizza at Dominos (like the same size as a medium in the US?) is almost 3000.

A regular Japanese restaurant is super cheap.

These tourists also go to tourist trap areas in Tokyo, so yeah they get the expensive stuff.

Also cook your own food, its cheaper and takes as much time as it does to drive to the place, get mad, and come back home.

Same here. Went to taco bell. What happened to getting a taco for like 80 cents? I thought Japans 2-300 taco was nuts.

yeah, if you have a family, and plan on having kids/grandkids ect, i think you should get the fuck out of the cities and find some property with a water source
