The first semifinal match started off pretty close, with DKR not only tying the match a couple times, but even taking the lead at one point. But it wasn't long before FF7 got the push it needed and never looked back, advancing to the championship with a 14-8 victory, where it waits for today's winner!

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PlayStation)

vs.

Both are highly acclaimed titles on their consoles, and both have been ported over to other consoles in later generations. But only one can advance on to the finals! Alucard vs. Fox, and it's happening now!

I don't have a problem with it. I know one total match on Summerslam. Maybe 2? Nakamura is going against Jinder right?

Yep, sure is. Confirmed SummerSlam card right now...

Brock (c) vs. Reigns vs. Joe vs. BRAUN for the Universal title; if Brock loses, he and Heyman claim they'll leave the WWE
Jinder (c) vs. Nakamura for the WWE title
Cena vs. Corbin
Styles (c) vs. Owens for the US title; guest referee is Shane McMahon
Neville (c) vs. Tozawa for the Cruiserweight title
New Day (c) vs. Usos for the SmackDown tag titles
Naomi (c) vs. Natalya for the SD Women's title
Alexa vs. Sasha or Nia Jax for the Raw Women's title (Sasha and Nia are facing off on the upcoming Raw to determine the #1 contender; could even be both somehow for all we know)
Randy Orton vs. Rusev
Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt
Big Show vs. Big Cass; Enzo Amore's suspended in a shark cage above the ring for the match

That's 11 matches confirmed with a week's worth of shows left. Raw's hinted at both Rollins/Ambrose vs. Sheamus/Cesaro, as well as Miz vs. Jason Jordan, but with the card as big as it already is, they might save those for No Mercy next month instead, which is going to be Raw exclusive this year.

Then again, SummerSlam's gonna be as long as WrestleMania, which had 13 matches, so there's definitely room for two more! >_>

At one point early on, Star Fox and GoldenEye were tied 4-4. It wasn't long after that when Star Fox straight up throttled GoldenEye with a barrage of votes and never looked back. James Bond attempted a comeback in the final hours, but it wasn't meant to be. In the battle of two legendary N64 titles, Star Fox 64 wins 12-8 and advances on to face Castlevania: Symphony of the Night in the Final Four!

Final Fantasy VII had a close one at first with Tekken 3 in the previous round, but still managed to double the highly acclaimed fighting title. Diddy Kong Racing went down to the wire with Blast Corps to get here. Now in the first of two PlayStation vs. Nintendo 64 battles, only one will reign supreme!

Yesterday's match lived up to all expectations. It only took Mario Kart 30 minutes to score more votes than Castlevania's first three opponents combined, and at one point, MK64 was leading 9-8 a little over halfway into the match. And then Alucard kicked it into high gear, as SotN scored 6 of the next 7 votes, securing a 15-10 win and making Mario Kart 64 the first #1 seed to lose in this tournament. With Symphony of the Night's entry into the Final Four, this guarantees that both Final Four matches will be PlayStation vs. Nintendo 64, regardless of today's outcome.

Star Fox 64 (Nintendo 64)

vs.

GoldenEye 007 (Nintendo 64)

Star Fox got here with easy wins against Vandal Hearts, Sonic R, and Time Crisis II. GoldenEye scored easy wins over Chameleon Twist and Harvest Moon before having a slight struggle with Mega Man X4. These two have been considered to be two of the best titles in the N64 library, but only one can take on Castlevania in the Final Four!

Just looked it up to confirm my earlier statement, and yes, Jinder's loss to Orton last night was his first televised loss since losing to Mojo Rawley on SmackDown back in April.

Not bad for a guy who used to hardly appear on Raw/SD, let alone win on either show.

Also glad someone likes That '70s Show this much on here; I burned through the series on Netflix five years ago and enjoyed the majority of it. Even a couple season 8 episodes were good, even if the show was on its final leg at that point.

The Zero Signal return tour continues on tonight folks! Upon kicking the Broken Raven's ass all over Summer Spectacular, I, Zero Signal, have responded with further ass kickings against the recently retired Sultan of Slam, the recently returned Sir Chris, Wiggum Fan, and then recently I traveled to Middle Earth to suplex Tom Bombadil into a pile of hobbits! Tonight, I take on a fair adversary in Eaedwards, and once I beat him, I will go on to win whatever title match I am given, and I will become either the next Undisputed Champion, the Melee Mayhem Champion, the Master of Taybles, the winner of the ARMBAR, the WCW Television Champion, or I'll break into the UCA Museum Nicolas Cage style and steal the coveted IM title, the choices are endless!

Yesterday's matchup was a close one between two of the Nintendo 64's (and Rare's) finest titles released in 1997. Every time Diddy Kong Racing pulled away by a small amount of votes, Blast Corps would come right back and keep the match interesting. At the end of the 24 hour mark, it would be enough for Diddy and crew to escape with a 10-8 victory, marking a date with Final Fantasy VII in the Final Four.

Mario Kart 64 (Nintendo 64)

vs.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PlayStation)

Mario Kart's only slightly declined each round, going from dominating Shadow Warrior to tripling Mischief Makers to barely doubling House of the Dead. Castlevania has destroyed every game in its path, with a combined final score of 43-4 against Carmageddon, Marvel vs Street Fighter, and Bomberman 64. Now both games will receive their first true test in the entire tournament to determine the third spot in the Final Four!

True story I actually thought the Khali/Batista Punjabi Prison was much better than the Jinder/Orton one largely for that reason.

Glad I'm not the only one here. Batista/Khali's Punjabi Prison wasn't really a great match, but it was at least watchable and the final minute with Batista beating Khali to the end made up for everything else.

I felt bad for the fans at No Mercy though. They had to watch that AND three HHH matches in the same night.

Curt's had it worse, no doubt. Dorado apparently won on Main Event back in June (over Gulak, again), but also has wins at house shows. In terms of televised one-on-one victories, Dorado's gap ranges from July 23 last year (CWC win over Mustafa Ali) to June 8th this year (Drew Gulak on Main Event).

Hawkins' last win was against Apollo Crews on Main Event in early November, but he's appeared much more often and has jobbed much more often.

Final scores of the matches that just ended!

Mario Kart 64 defeated The House of the Dead 11-5
Not a bad effort in this contest by HotD. MK64 pulls away with the last string of votes to secure the win.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night defeated Bomberman 64 13-2
Bomberman gets two pity votes near the end as Alucard cleans house here. SotN has now outscored its first three opponents 43-4. It'll have its first true test with Mario Kart 64 in the next round.

Blast Corps defeated Crash Bandicoot 2 in overtime 8-7, for a final score of 16-15!

vs.
Time Crisis II (Arcade)

Mega Man X4 (PS1, Saturn)
vs.
GoldenEye 007 (Nintendo 64)

Out of all four games here, the only one with remotely any trouble getting to round 3 was Time Crisis II, and its closest match was still a doubling against Age of Empires. We're either setting ourselves up for the inevitable Star Fox/GoldenEye showdown, or an unexpected upset from either of their two opponents!

My apologies for the late post, I was at Volksfest until about 30 minutes ago. Fun times.

Diddy Kong Racing defeated Kirby's Dream Land 3 7-5
Crash Bandicoot 2 and Blast Corps TIED 8-8 and head into OT today

DKR had some trouble at first with Kirby, trailing 5-3 before scoring 4 straight votes for the win. Crash came back from an 8-6 deficit to force overtime against Blast Corps (my apologies pj, but your votes were past the 24 hour mark)

Official bracket
http://www.bracketmaker.com/tmenu.cfm?1&tid=467558&tclass=

Mario Kart 64 (Nintendo 64)
vs.
The House of the Dead (Arcade)

Bomberman 64 (Nintendo 64)
vs.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PlayStation)

OVERTIME MATCH
Blast Corps (Nintendo 64)
vs.
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (PlayStation)

House of the Dead and Bomberman have put up impressive upset runs, but now they go against a tall order in both Mario Kart (outscoring its first two opponents 26-6) and Castlevania (outscoring its first two opponents 30-2). Meanwhile Crash Bandicoot continues to deal with Rare's demolition gem to determine who faces Diddy Kong Racing!
