Well I want to know whether I need to pay prior to April.
Not financial advice, I'm not a financial advisor or accountant, etc., but my understanding is that you get a warning the first time you underpay and then you get penalized if you do it again. Might be if it's within a certain amount though.

Probably best to talk to a CPA or something if you have big gains.

Most of my individual stocks have either gone to 0 or losses. I earned a grand and lost it on SOFI alone in a month and only made a small $200 contribution in the meantime.

I only have gains remaining on these:
GS (+$18)
AMC (+$43)
ACI (+$895)

Most of my gains from the year have been eliminated and I'm about to start losing money.

I'm frustrated. But I guess it's time for me to just DCA if anything.

I know I can't buy a home and this is the only way I could maybe someday afford anything so I gotta keep going on this.

I feel like there's an everything bubble. Some of these valuations make no sense.

Speaking of which, looks like the futures are up. I'd think that stocks would go down tomorrow because of COVID but I guess not. Maybe too many people buying the dip.

I was trying to buy, and my situation is complicated because it's technically the best time to buy for me (my income is inflated this and last year as an IT worker during a pandemic and expected to go down next year) but LA prices are astronomical. 300-400k for a 1 bedroom condo sometimes and I have the option to live at home for $450/month. I've spent a year in the real estate market.

I just have no idea if the real estate market will go down or keep going up like this. I'm worried that I'll be priced out of being able to work my stable government job.

Black Friday sale on stocks. Get your stocks cheap.

Fuck, I wanted to sell stocks but I decided to let them ride. My cash position is actually larger than my overall investments (I was trying to buy property) but now might be a good time to change that.

One of my brokerages allows cash to be taken out and I took a margin loan of 35% of my portfolio before I can take less. I plan to invest that soon. I believe that we're about to hit a correction. I was zero margin, but I'm going to 35-50% with a large cash reserve in case I get margin called.

I knew I should have dropped a grand on stocks yesterday. I was under the influence of a prescription drug (for legitimate medical reasons) and I never let myself make financial decisions when I am, so I didn't.

Oh well. Still nice to see green today.

They started in Oakland.

Betrayed Oakland, went to Las Vegas

Give it 20-30 years and they'll probably be in Salt Lake City or Boise or Portland. Maybe Oakland again if they build them a free stadium.

Kinda feeling glad I only put $200 into BBIG.

Just like how I'm glad I only put in $100 into RCON

Anyway, the other stock I found out about, DWAC, I got out and despite the big loss compared to yesterday, I still took some nice profits.

Ouch.

My BYND journey started with buying it when it was rallying because I figured I could make a quick day/swing trade and make maybe $20 or $30. Then I averaged down.

Anyway, I've lost around $500 on it. My starting investment was around $350 and I threw in about another grand. This was my first time putting in more than $200 into a stock and I almost quit playing with stocks over it. This topic made me keep going.

That said, I mostly do index funds in terms of my allocation, but individual stocks are still fun. Sometimes.

Fuck
I watch BYND stock often since it's my biggest failure (dollar-wise) and it was okay yesterday. It was already really bad in the premarket hours. I don't think you could have done anything unless you already had stop loss orders in effect (and they were set to happen in premarket/aftermarket hours).

That said, I bought one share on the dip. I'm still terrified of earnings though.

Yeah still feeling good about this. Getting less convinced there isn't some corruption going on too as the volume has decreased enough that this shouldn't be impossible to figure out but oh well.

Nice man, happy for you.

Im currently totally liquid. Been so busy with work that I havent had time to make moves. Probably wont until later this week too unfortunately.
This is why I'm getting more into M1 Finance than anything, just dropping cash to put into ETFs and such.

That said, I'm still highly liquid, both because I'm too chicken to throw tens of thousands at once into the market and because my goal is to buy real estate and I want down payment money available.

I wish I dropped 10k into SOFI instead of $2500, but I'm not going to complain about these returns. Wow, I'm so glad I held.
