It's what a lot of people first saw, and grew accustomed to. It's a completely fine and fair sounding translation, and it's beloved as is. She's not a minor character, she uhh... perishes in one of the most iconic scenes in gaming, and people remember her and that scene fondly that way. The was zero need to keep forcing the inferior Aerith spelling in later material

Yes, everyone knows Aeris was made due to a translation issue, but that doesn't mean the intended name is better than what we got

It still blows my mind that here in 2024, people STILL choose to be wrong with "Aeris" when she was literally Aerith the very first time she was introduced to the world as is shown in the Japanese manual.

It's sounds better and is the way a loooot of people got introduced to the character, even if it was a mistranslation, SE should let it go already and just adopt it as the correct name

Everything hollywood makes nowadays is so sterile and gives the feeling that it was "designed by committee".

Even good stuff gives me this uncanny feeling, like, the dune movie is like good and all but the art direction feels like it uses the same special effects and cgi as any marvel movie, it feels samey to my brain, even when its not.

Also, not an anti woke mouthbreather or anything, but I do feel a better balance needs to be found regarding representation if it's going to negatively impact creativity

I'm so hyped for the GOAT Mario game.

I prefer PM64 but TTYD is fundamentally the most sound.

TTYD it has the better battle system, the better setting and more interesting party members, but at the same time, it has pacing issues, and higher highs but lower lows, it's just more imbalanced than the original, and I can see why some would prefer the first.

He only ever knew war ever since he was a child, and had a lot of issues over his status as the prince of a warmongering race that was genocided by the person that was his boss when he was introduced, so yeah, I think it made sense that he was the way he was at the start.

If anything it's very impressive and commendable how changed for the better over his love for Bulma, I'd say it's okay to forgive him.

Hate? I don't know about hate, but how about not rewarding the practice in the first place; they know they can fuble things again and fix them later, and the game will still be a commercial success no matter what.

Regarding your second statement, honestly they deserved to go under, or at least the directive be kicked out if you're worried about jobs. The next game will absolutely coast on hype given that The Witcher is still a popular franchise sadly
