I want to pick against the Astros for the AL but they get a free pass to the ALCS, meanwhile the 3 teams that could beat them all play each other first. So dumb how MLB sets up the playoffs now. And it's not even like, teams were underrated by record. It's literally the 3 highest record teams on one side of the bracket.

Awakening Road is literally too good for this contest. Like, how does that even qualify as a Mega Man song? But I can't not vote for it, it's the best song so far.

IMO it's worth it. Enjoyable all the way through even if it can get pretty stupid. Though I never saw season 5 and I'm kinda surprised to hear that they made one that many years later.

I'm okay with declaring Laguna the champion of XIII or XX retroactively (ignore the fact that Laguna was nowhere near winning either of those).

That list is missing several characters. Off the top of my head, Reddas and NORG were past failed projects of mine (was also going to mention Rude, but apparently he was in XXIII? I don't remember this). And there's a noticeable lack of raytan's infamously bad choices like Buddy, Teta and Kelga. Also your complaining about Noel made me remember he's actually been in this before.

I kind of think of him as Aeris is his 1a and Locke his 1b (and Seph somewhere near the top maybe 3?). I assume he carried Locke while Aeris didn't need him and mnk carried Mog.

In general, yeah. We had exceptions for 3 years in a row from Lightning to Squall to Kefka (before that it was really just Kuja and Zidane), and those were pretty recent, and that's when Martin started playing, so kinda explains his mindset.

The whole point of the stat was to show his record in close games. It wouldn't make sense to exclude ties. They are defining close by excluding games with a margin of 9 or more. Thinking of it any other way is like some weird lawyer-type-thinking IMO.
