1 kill per 24 hours sounds awful. If you want it to last longer, I would suggest splitting it into rounds where like, day 1 we kill some characters, day 2 we kill more, etc. Especially if you plan on increasing the kill count needed.

Though I think the kill my standard is best, just a single round that ends the same day.

Kefka's popularity comes from the original SNES translation. He wasn't nearly as well-liked in Japan, and I believe GBA and later versions used a more accurate translation.

I hate that this game is so early. If Downs ends up playing and I wake up in time I'm planning on switching <_<

Very nice. Like I expected, there was a pretty big chunk of characters all kinda similar in strength near the top. Though there were a few discrepancies. I didn't expect Yuna, Barret and Terra to be part of that group, and I didn't expect Zidane not to be. Sazh is also borderline there.

I wonder if this influences saves next year. Like, it makes a victory for Terra/Barret/Tifa/Aeris/Yuna/Rikku (and maybe Sazh) look very likely if at least one of them manages to make it, while fans of other characters who make deep runs will want to face each other and avoid those powerhouses.
