Elon grew up rich but he also turned millions into billions, that's comparable to you turning a few thousand into a few million

So what's your excuse?

He failed and was bailed out.
That is the privilege only a rich person has.
You look at a company he didn't even make or do anything for that he bought that succeeded and attribute it to him and ignore all his many failures that didn't matter because he was still filthy rich after failing and failing instead of poor and homeless.

an amusing consideration for those who try to quantify powerlevels

Magetta lava actually hurt Vegeta
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-JcyfhwLuE

Akainu could actually kill Goku or Vegeta.

Of course fans will try to argue this inconsistency away and make excuses for it. Laughable.

Similar Goku needed a suit to go to earth core.

This is super episode 68 near the end.
Some will argue this is filler but that don't work when Magetta spits lava and nearly kills Vegeta.

This is one of the biggest non sequiturs Ive ever seen. A characters strength has no bearing in and of itself on how well that character is written.

Not only is Luffy ridiculously strong but currently it doesn't matter how strong his opponent is because he can sink them into his cartoon nonsense.
Luffy can literally punch a guy in the head and his fist come out the other side of their head not because Luffy punched them so hard it tore a hole in their head but because he turned them into a cartoon and that was a funny gag that should happen.
He can grab lighting and turn it into a spear not because that makes sense in reality but because it is a thing a cartoon can do.

But that doesn't only apply to other things like Goku's body or the environment but Luffy himself. Even with Goku's strongest punched ever it would just be that Luffy head would stretch out infinitely as Luffy cries in pain before he draws it back to himself like nothing happened.

Also of note is Luffy is basically One Piece version of Jesus now. Literally comes back to life if you kill him.
When he starts healing blind people and making guys with no legs walk we need to watch out.

He's good at something, but I don't really know how to describe it. He has the ability to draw watchers/readers in despite not being a compelling writer, consistent on lore, or really reliable at all.

I think it is hype building.
For instance "Goku shakes the infinite void!" OH MY SO HYPE WOW AMBLALBHABLHA!

If you turn you brain back on though, not only does it make no sense it breaks the established rules of the narrative itself and cracks apart the whole storyline and the events that come after

I think this is why there is so many Goku vs. X debate that goes on. Cause people buy into the hype but it falls apart under the simplest scrutiny. But fans are so obsessed with the idea that it could make sense and they try so hard to like explain it from physics or math and put so much time and effort when in the end it is an impossible job and the writer himself just contradicts himself later. For example the bullets hurting Goku things. Boy does that really rile up DBZ fans.

My dad had a heart attack and died at my house. The EMTs loaded up their gear and without rush loaded my dad into the ambulance. They then took him to the hospital where the hospital did open heart surgery amassing a $10,000 bill on my dead father. Luckily though one of the doctors thought I earned the right to hear that my dad's heart ripped in half and had he been on the table and ready for surgery he would have died. Anyway. Still cash that $10,000 check. It's not about universal healthcare. It's about predatory medical practices.

---------------------------------------

Heartbreaking.
My dad had a heart attack on the golf course in FL. His golf buddies tried CPR until the ambulance came. The ambulance came and brought him to the hospital. They claimed that they got a heartbeat back in the ambulance but once he got to the hospital he flatlined. The bill was ALOT more because he was revived for a minute or whatever. Hard to prove really. In any case, he didnt make it and that 10 minutes from the golf course to the hospital DOA was over 50k I believe. He doesnt live in FL so we had to fly him home for burial on top of that.

---------------------------------------

I got in an accident and refused the ambulance because I knew they would do this. The ambulance still came but I refused care again and they eventually left. Then 2 weeks later I get a bill for $600 from them. I call and tell them I had refused treatment when asked and again when the techs came on scene. They said I am still on the hook for the money because they came and therefore could not go on another call. I tell them how that doesnt make any sense and ask them: youre telling me if I dont like someone and want them to pay hundreds of dollars for nothing I can just call an ambulance for them and theyre on the hook for the bill if the ambulance comes? A few seconds of silence go by and then he eventually realizes that he is a fucking idiot.

stories people sharing:

On September 30, 2000, My uncle died in our house days after a surgery of a stroke. The ambulance took more than 40 minutes to arrive, even though we live right up the hill from the garage. He had no family of his own other than us. He wasn't married and didn't have kids.
We got a bill. My mom refused to pay. We were harrassed for a few months until my mom went to a lawyer. He threatened them with a lawsuit. It ended after that.

--------------------------

Am a Paramedic. One of the worst calls I went too was the most mundane.
We got called for a status check on a woman in a parking lot. 60-65 year old woman was wandering around in a parking lot, around my Moms age. She had gone with a friend to the local state fair. They had driven to a shuttle lot (she didn't drive, her friend had driven her there) then subsequently split up. A few hours later, without a cell phone she took the shuttle back to where her friend had parked so they could go home, to find out her friend had already left.
She had no ride back home, no acute medical problems, allowed us to take her vital signs which all checked out. She was on a fixed income, and just wanted to eat some deep fried snacks at the fair, and have a good time. A bit poor at planning, something my own mother would do.
She didnt really have the money for a cab, so I tried calling the Police to drive her home, I tried calling the bus company of the city to come drive her closer to her house, and even tried to clear with my supervisor and boss to drive her home in our ambulance or have someone come and get her in our sprint vehicle. None of which panned out. We wound up calling her a cab, which would cost her more money.
The part that really affected me was that the company I worked for, billed for medical refusals. She had no medical issues, she wasn't the one that called us. She didn't need our assistance. And at the end of the day, we still sent that poor lady a bill for 50$ she probably couldn't afford. Her poor (but understandable) planning really ruined her day. All she wanted to do was have a good day at the fair, eating some treats, watching some shows, and people watching, and yeah...by now yall figured out she reminded me a lot of my mom, and I contributed in ruining her day. Its been almost 10 years since that call and it still makes me sad. I wish our medical system viewed people more than as a paycheck.

This doesn't mean he has learned or grown. It just means he thought "I would just do thing other guy did to show the difference"

The whole point of the show is nothing challenges him enough to cause growth or learning. It is the reverse of Shounen were every fight makes the character stronger. That is...literally the point.

In 2022, Machida, Kato, and Hirota later co-launched a Kickstarter campaign for a spiritual successor titled Penny Blood, featuring similar mechanics to the Shadow Hearts series.[116] The campaign launched on August 29 as part of a project to fund both Penny Blood and Armed Fantasia, a spiritual successor to the Wild Arms; the two games had a combined minimum goal of $750,000.[52][117]

looks up Penny Blood

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penny_Blood

Penny Blood is an upcoming role-playing video game set in an alternate version of the 1920s infused with elements of Gothic horror. The lead protagonist is Matthew Farrell, a private detective based in New York; he inherited the power to transform into powerful monster-like beings from his father, and while he hates this ability he uses it in service to the Bureau of Investigation to combat supernatural threats born from Malice. Following an outbreak of monsters at an asylum, he ends up on a mission spanning from the Americas to Europe and Asia pursuing a dangerous criminal. He is joined by the half-mechanical Emilia Dawson of the British Secret Intelligence Service, and Suseri Otsuki of the fictional Japanese Kamuzumi organization.[1][2][3]
Gameplay features Matthew travelling between different locations across the world via an overworld map, exploring dungeons around those locations, and fighting enemies. Battles use a turn-based combat system, with actions triggering a real-time button minigame dubbed Psycho Sigil; hitting areas on the titular Sigil with the right timing fulfils the attack.[1][2] Each character has a limited number of Sanity Points which decrease each turn, with the character gaining a boost in attack when their Sanity is depleted.[4][2]

Because it is argued real life physics as why the methods used wouldn't work.
