Granado Espada - Rhapsody

Not too bad of a song, though it relies on a piano melody since its background is boring, and then there's a point where they stop even having a melody, and start wildly pressing keys in an attempt to still make music. There's some good, but there's a general boring atmosphere to most of it. 61/100

Scar was in a VC with me when he nominated this, I essentially called it overrated from what I said previously without really making my comments clear. I see a lot of things act like this is a top Zelda boss theme, and I really don't think so. It does have a lovely flute melody, the beginning is just really awkward and really feels like that guy doing the chugging inspired Spirit Tracks, instead of doing anything good for the Zelda universe. The melody kind of dies down after a little bit and I start to zone out of it. 60/100

Very charming, soft and enjoyable. Likely some kind of town theme that probably has a lot of green, so you can feel like just lying in a patch of grass and relaxing. A nice song to listen to for that kind of visual. 85/100

Looking at Full Throttle, I DON'T believe I am INTERESTED in PLAYING this VIDEO GAME.

Degrees looks nice, but not gonna have the free spending money to get it at its price. Rondo of Blood is a Castlevania I don't have access to so just another month of doing my own thing.

To me it's mostly how he implements the attacks he steals (he's definitely more of a shapeshifter than like Mr. Fantastic who was technically allowed), and the fact that some of the abilities have rather elaborate alterations (like UFO Kirby or Wing Kirby-- he wouldn't necessarily need to turn into a UFO for example to have the abilities of one but that's how his body decides to do it) that lets Kirby barely qualify.

See, I'm still under the argument that it's more convenience than anything.

A major example of Digestive Assimilation without Digestive Shapeshifting is Wapol from One Piece, depending actually on how you want to view this argument. Someone can correct me as I describe this. Wapol eats metallic objects and then gains the properties of them. Like he can make a cannon appear out his mouth or on his body after eating one. What he does is somewhat different from shapeshifting, since it's more like a machine, where he upgrades but can't really revert himself. But also, he can eat things that don't give him powers as they don't possess them.

Kirby does a similar thing in his normal power where he can eat a lot of things, but not everything will give him a power. And even many things that give him powers don't give him shapeshifting. His full on shapeshifting due to a power in a basic game (Rock and Wheel for example) are more the side of this game from the power, not Kirby. Many other cases he does have an aesthetic change like yes, UFO, Wing. But he doesn't do that with everything. This is something called Consumptive Replication (The power to gain the powers of others by consuming them.) A similar user of this was actually Naraku in Inuyasha, who similarly could take on a body part he ate from an enemy, not to be mistaken to be shapeshifting. (Granted, don't quote me on this one, I know Genny and maybe a few others would know him better to explain his power)

Kirby's still different since Digestive Assimilation includes items, as opposed to Consumptive Replication. Kirby instead, in a sense, swallows the enemy and kind of takes its soul which becomes a hat. Obviously this isn't explained, but Super Star (where the hats were introduced) would let you take off the power to create a helper. The helper stuff wouldn't continue past Super Star but the hats would, which you can assume is aesthetics, but the way it works is essentially the same. This can also be though about in the fact that if Kirby gets hit or releases his power manually, the power up floats around as a Star until Kirby picks up another power-up or re-eats the star. The fact that the power is still solidified kind of helps the fact that Kirby's power comes from the soul of the enemy that was absorbed. I hope that makes sense finally where I'm coming from in the case of how I'm fighting for his power to not be shapeshifting.

HOWEVER, I do want to say that after other arguments, I do agree with the elasticity stuff regarding Kirby 64 (in particular for power-ups being merged) and just Kirby's powers in general (since the very beginning) and of course Yarn Kirby being the same character, which was criticized when I said no to same character.

Except he doesn't, it's aesthetics. I can put on a hat that I take off of someone else too, it doesn't make me a shapeshifter. Of course, I also can't throw that hat and create a duplicate of the person I stole it from who fights for my side like Kirby can in Super Star. That's the best evidence of his hat, it comes off the enemy as he takes the power, not that he shapeshifts it out of the power.

EDIT: Hell, it also presents that it's still not his power, it's one he took off an enemy.

Either way, I think Charon's the better judge in the circumstance of who actually has the better argument, rather than fans of Kirby in general.

Elasticity, or convenient Digestive Assimilation. I think the elasticity and Yarn Kirby arguments are the fair sides of him remaining in, but I think Charon, as the host, should decide where Kirby's powers lie from that argument.

Wikis are biased towards what only the creator thinks is right, and when I read actual definitions of it, I don't see everything saying it conveniently only works at most half the time, I see fully changing their appearance, which Kirby doesn't do when he absorbs things like normal elements.

Actually, let's take everything that can be applied to Kirby's "shapeshifting" that you're trying to apply into it, and check your second Wiki.

Malleable Anatomy. Oh look, Kirby isn't listed.
Power-Shifting (aka changing into a power, which also would be what Kirby would be considered doing): Still no Kirby.

No, where he's listed is Digestive Shapeshifting, which, if you think about it...
"The user can shape-shift into any someone by eating part of them, the user does not gain their abilities unless accompanied by Digestive Assimilation" He does this very minimally. He only does this with enemies like UFO.

His power is Digestive Assimilation, not Digestive Shapeshifting. The latter is more convenience with specific power ups, it's not actually his power.

The main Kirby that can transform is Yarn Kirby, who I'd argue should have been nominated as that in order to be counted.

Hell, here, have another thing. Kirby had the ability to suck up and swallow enemies since the beginning, but he doesn't shapeshift on every enemy's absorbtion, hell, he never did it in his original game where this power stemmed from. Because originally there wasn't a power to absorb, but, it shows he wasn't able to shapeshift without it being specific powers added from specific enemies.

Except there's no such proof he didn't have to absorb abilities. Smash isn't cannon, and even if we wanted to count it as such, technically the one who gave him those powers is Master Hand, as present in Kirby and the Amazing Mirror where he gets his Smash moveset through absorbing Master Hand's power.

2. it's not like he's absorbing the ability to shapeshift; that's an inherent part of him. The ball example is actually a good one, he literally just absorbs a round enemy and then shapeshifts to match that enemy's form. There's not much difference between that and say Mystique or Clayface looking at someone and then shapeshifting into them, the only change is that he also gets their power. But the shapeshifting isn't a power he gets from the enemy.

Except it's not even close. He has to eat that character. The best example of Kirby, is someone who copied what he does. Quina Quen. Quina doesn't inherently have the power to use monster abilities, but he can eat one to get that power. He doesn't actually have needles on possession of himself, but he gets the power to use it through absorbing that ability. Mystique, Clayface, Ditto, etc, yes, they need a character to transform into, but its through their own power that they turn into that person, not through that person's power that they use that person's power in their own way.

One big thing for me in regards to Kirby and mentioning elasticity, is to go off pretty much the easiest examples of his elasticity. Ball Kirby. However, Kirby can't normally do ball Kirby, he needs to absorb it from something else. All shapeshifters on this list have it as an innate ability. They don't need outside help, while Kirby needs to absorb the ability from something else.

Terraria Calamity - "UNIVERSAL COLLAPSE" - Theme of Devourer of Gods (Final Form)

Started off pretty cool, but then just... turned into a musical mess to me. I just couldn't really like what it was doing past the beginning. Between the sound system and just the melody being all wild... I felt like I wasn't hyped up for the fight anymore. 38/100

Terraria Calamity - "Scourge of the Universe" - Theme of Devourer of Gods

Sound system is still odd, but this time it has a really good melody. Everytime the bells chime in I just enjoy this song right around that point. It would kind of drop down to dull outside of the main melody, but the chorus was a highlight and definitely gave this song a great rating. 80/100
