It was definitely enjoyable but I'm glad it was only twelve episodes, I'm not sure the concept would've lasted for much longer.

There's a second season. Granted, it starts becoming more about the heroes that were introduced towards the end of the show, I believe. So it has a lot more it can do still.

Ew. I feel like there are a few gimmicks that could be good with this, but I still wouldn't like him with that being just gross. Plus ya know, Sharmell just felt like she was overreacting to everything. It looked like a much darker storyline than her waking up next to WORMS. Still, ew.

I actually liked the second arc of SAO more than the first. Just goes to show how much the first arc irritated me from the start. Yes, by second arc we already knew Asuna was going to be boring bait that despite being a great warrior is probably going to play damsel at least once because her character is about as dull as a princess locked in a tower, Kirito is a shitty hero as well. Kay, we already know that... What does the second arc do? Sit on a long plotline of incest that yes, is pretty boring but at least gets us into the life of another character, showing that the author actually is not incapable of progressing side character storylines. Sure, the author has the character development of an NES game in the world of VRMMOs... but still, at least there was some utilization of alternate cast. It even had some side characters that played a good part in the leaders of Cait Sith and the Elves.

All this probably leads to why I actually liked Excalibur and will never deny that Mother's Rosario is actually the only good arc of SAO.

Also missed last round (and lost one of my primaries for it, sadly), but means I missed this comment.

Just a heads up, I'm probably keeping the save requirement static until at least the top 80, but it may increase to 2 saves needed after that. I'm still a little wary though because that's nevertheless a big jump up from 80 total saves needed the previous round, to 156 needed assuming there are still two eliminations. An alternative would be to reduce the number of saves per hour to 1. This wouldn't differ in terms of post count, but it would at least be easier to keep track of. Input is welcome though!

Yeah, this is good. I didn't think of overall saves jumping back largely over 100 and instead was more looking how this round, without chatter, was still ending on page 1 and it felt weird.

I massively shit on Hundred's ending, yet I still think I probably liked it more than the first season of SAO overall. Active Raid was actively stupid tho. I agree with your statement that it wasn't actively bad, but like... I was watching that while a friend watched Code Geass and the two of us basically were talking about how bad Taniguchi was at like... law building between the two shows. Uh... Since I know that doesn't make sense... Basically rather than World Building, it's like the governments and what's wrong with them. If you get what I mean there.
