I chose Squirtle, I originally wanted to go by the game I chose, which blue= Squirtle.
So that's how I went, then second gen and onward I never let the game choose my starter. Ah, the only fire line I started a generation with, and the only gen that makes it hard to choose any of the starters over the others because I like all of them.
Torchic: 5.6/10 Combusken: 4.4/10 The fighting chicken is still not that great Blaziken: 8.8/10 I felt like doing the other two Gen 3 families as my past, but this was the first that we've done, so I'll just have to do my continuance. Ditto: 6.9/10 Our... ah screw it, this score explains exactly what joke I'm making. Ah, a trio of Gen 2 pokes. Wait, was Corsola 2 or 3?
Qwilfish: 5.7/10 A nice idea, but not a great Poke. Shuckle: 9.2/10 The first bug/rock and is awesome. Both battle-wise and for it's secret. Corsola: 4.1/10 Eh. As for repeats... Sneasel: 6.8/10 Cool Dark type, and fast. Weavile: 4.5/10 Although, they could have made the evolution a bit better. Awesome in combat, but looks like Meowth gone black. Igglybuff: 0.2/10 These names are too wierd Jigglypuff: 7.9/10 But Jiggly gets points for the Smash series. I guess the only shameful thing is if you're surronded by people that don't like it. Which is far from a common experience, but it's tough to believe otherwise sometimes.
Either way, mine would probably be the lying about beating a game. Magby: 1.2/10 Magmar: 5.2/10 This was a Poke I liked in Gen 1. Once aesthetics came around in Pokemon, however, we finally saw his ass face and gave up on liking him. Magmortar: 8.4/10 This however. He's got cannons for arms. I'm ashamed so many dislike him. Now for others Phanpy: 4.6/10 Only so high because I remembered the one I nicknamed Dumbo for fun. Donphan: 4.3/10 Skarmory: 9.3/10 Awesome looking. Ah, my long awaited Crocodile family that allows me to use Cyndaquil's family in Gen 2 instead of Totodile's.
Sandile: 8.4/10 Krokorok: 9.2/10 Such a fun name to type. Up there with Zigzagoon Krookodile: 10/10 Now for other stuff... Mankey: 6.7/10 Primape: 6.7/10 I have really no comment... just another outclassed fighting-type. Also ironic that I got these ones on my list right after watching Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Palkia: 5.9/10 Dialga: 7.6/10 These two I always mix up, whether it's typing or naming I lose track of both. Now for a few noms.
