granblue's 10-100 free rolls every day is honest to god the most friendly system i've ever seen in a gacha game. yeah it's a new year's promotion but holy shit, they just fucking give you a free 10 roll every day minimum.

and then along the way as that happened they doubled the SSR - 5* - rate from 3% to 6% too.
so a 6% rate, with free pulls, free tickets thrown at you, and free extra in-game currency to allow for 3-4 normal 10-rolls.

Idolmaster Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage is doing this as well (though not so much on the free in-game currency), and guess who else developed that game? Cygames.

That said, it still didn't prevent me from going 7 10-pulls and only getting 1 SSR out of them despite the 6% rate.

I could make a case that the mobile rhythm games I play are more grindy than FFBE since those require constant playing if you care about event rankings, and it's like you have to focus on playing if you want to play well. Some of them barely have any breaks in-between events.

But the trade-off is that you don't need to worry about management as much and meta doesn't really matter unless you care about getting high scores.

Yep, those are gone. We're getting 30 Love Gem scouting real soon.

Anyways the new Adventure Stroll event that's starting in 3 hours brings some new things in. Biggest one is the addition of the Souvenir Exchange.

For those of us playing F/GO, it's kinda similar the to trade shop that some events have, except you don't have to worry about having any bonus units. It's just that some spots give more for one kind of souvenir and less for another.

So glad I got the Christmas You UR, which finally gives me the 9/6 Cool UR with 2nd year boost that I've been trying to get for awhile. Also got a dupe Dancer Kotori UR that I can idolize, but I think it's better to keep her separate to have a stronger team.

I now have a UR for all of the 's members, and I also have every Dia UR available, which is kinda funny when I never really went for any of them except for maybe the Halloween one but I ended up getting that one from a ticket. I like Dia a lot, so I'm fine with that.

Season Two: My only real complaint is they went too far with 'we're breaking up and it's so sad'. Multiple times they said it was the last time all nine of them would be together and I'm like... you can stay friends, can't you?

That's like one of the few things that bugged me about Season 2, especially when you realize that....they've only been together for like a year.

And I would hardly call that a "tournament arc". I kinda wish they would focus a little more on the Love Live competition, but they really don't. It's just show up, perform, done.

When it comes to the characters, Love Live is a bit of a special case where I won't hold something from the anime against a character if I find it out of character (see Eli and Kotori in Season 1), since I can easily dismiss it as "bad anime writing."

Take someone like swordz, who only knows the characters through the mobile game and hasn't watched the anime yet. Regardless of what he thinks of the characters, he's not gonna encounter any of those 'dramatic' parts without watching the anime. Yet in the game, they all act as they should be.

That said, the anime can help a character in my eyes, which I'd say is more of a case with Sunshine.
Might sound like a double standard, but oh well. It is what it is. \_()_/

Well you still have the movie that takes place right after Season 2 and it concludes the 's story.

I really like Sunshine, and I have been liking Season 2 for the most part.

Sunshine Season 1 has some similarities to the original anime, and in a sense it seems pretty intentional. Then Season 2 throws away some of the conventions that the original anime had. Can't really say much more than that.

I still wouldn't go so far to say that you HAVE to jump into it if you'd rather watch something else first.

Also I didn't like S2 as much as S1 to be honest, though it is mostly due to the story content as opposed to the cast dynamic, which stayed pretty consistent throughout.

Man, I would say that lot of Love Live fans prefer Season 2 because it throws out most of the story and stays true to its nature of being cute girls doing cute things.
