How can you be so sure? The skyrocketing is only happening as long as Reddit sees a foe in the hedge firms. Once the hedge firms concede, which they must at some point, Reddit will declare victory and sell for their millions at which point the stocks drop big time.

Because even if the hedge firms concede, Reddit will tell themselves that it's a lie (and they will probably be right) and fight even harder.

Sonic doesn't suffer from bad games for the same reason lots of the top tier is immune to it.

He's very known.

Sonic suffers from a lack of new good games, as he's relying more and more on games like Sonic 2 that are clearly multiple steps behind everyone else's strongest games except Mega Man.

I feel like at this point Samus is clearly the #2 character on this site before rSFF gets involved. The question is if Remake and Sephiroth in Smash will help Cloud enough to bridge the gap.

(Trick question, it won't matter because in that situation Cloud will lose his Smash support to Samus and get safely beaten just like Snake does whenever he runs into her 1v1)

So the only other possibility is that Zelda rSFF'd Mario, which doesn't feel all that likely to me.

Or Mario rSFFed Samus and she's in that...10% gap between Cloud and Link!

(The real answer is just Samus is way higher on the Smash totem pole than Snake is and 3-ways are very unreliable)

Well I mean pre-Switch I think we could have some good debate about who wins it all without Zelda involved, Mario, Final Fantasy, or the crazy Pokemon pick but how good Odyssey/Galaxy 2/Mario Kart 8 (since we know most voters will consider Mario Kart Mario) looked relative to FFXIV/FFXV last contest has just put Final Fantasy out of reach, and Mario/FF and possibly Pokemon are just so far ahead of the rest of the pack that I don't think there's much to be had anymore with the 2nd tier of games.

I think the point where Series II would be most interesting passed when the Switch came out. Final Fantasy's just continued the freefall relative to Nintendo since then.
