I love SaGa, it's actually popular here in Japan, but I don't know anyone in America who has played any of them.

I only played the original Gameboy games. I don't like the newer games with the LP systems. I did love the old ones though. I also played the remake of SaGa 2 on the DS which is one of the best RPGs square ever made imo

I actually bought the Alan Wake games because of that FOMO feeling years ago because the devs said it will be delisted due to not wanting to renew the music license or something.

It was actually delisted though. It came back eventually but it did get taken down.

The classic games are the numbered titles that are just Mega Man # and their Gameboy counterparts.

That would technically include games like mega man 10 even though it's way more recent.

Oh absolutely. I actually had a bias against MK before 9 got unbanned in Australia and a friend bought it.

There have been some dogshit Mortal Kombat games, but imo the Netherrealm Studios games from 9 to 11 are very well developed games - sans the stupid triple-A microtransaction shit they started putting in.

It's kinda shit that several dlc characters are literally already done and playable and part of the fucking story mode yet not given in the base game.

Really starting to feel that "wait for the komplete edition" I haven't bought the game yet and I don't think I will because of it. I'll just wait.

You guys don't know what you're talking about with "kusoge". NetherRealm games are very particular, but they're functional and fairly well developed for what they are.

Look at games like Brief Karate Foolish for something approaching the realm of kusoge.

TBH there was a really long stretch of games, between 4 and Armageddon where the games were very stiff and clunky. While some games had good enough qualities to make them playable like the Deception Konquest mode, overall they were kind of crap compared to other competitors. Things started to change after the first injustice game and now they're great and honestly the art and animation in MK1 is some of the best shit I've ever seen in a video game.

There's absolutely no way Unity would have honored bot install farms. Whether it's in the contract or not, that would be considered fraud at even the most surface level examinations. The fact that they're clarifying that they won't charge for it is nice but it's obvious they never intended to.

This policy is plenty shit as is and nothing they've said counts as any kind of reversal. And even if they reverse the whole thing it's too late. They've already proven they're willing to dump spyware into the runtime and there's no reason to ever trust them again with any game.

That's like saying the contract doesn't explicitly say I have to pay the fee so I don't have to pay it.

I don't think anyone ever genuinely felt bot installs would be honored. It just wasn't explicit in the contract. If they tried to charge you for bot installs you could sue them for fraud.

Whats the current revenue model for Unity? I dont blame them for wanting to make money off their product. Its obviously a good one based on how ubiquitous it is in the game dev world.

You're legally required to pay for a subscription if your team is over a certain size and they get a cut off sales from the asset store.
