Again, this is so hard to explain to an American because the mindset elsewhere is just so different. It's genuinely difficult to get across another countries' perspective. And I'm not even trying to be condescending or mean when I say that. It just is.

This. I'm Australian, if I thought someone was in my apartment, I'd grab something heavy and try to crack them over the head to knock them out. If they were trying to break into the front door, I'd go to the door and open it. I wouldn't assume they were armed or anything like that.

It used to be used as an example, if gris was a censored word, you'd have to say ****. Not g***, not gr*s, etc. The whole word has to be censored.

Then they changed to allow the first letter, so you could say f*** and s*** but still not partial censors. (You still can't part censor - try typing f star C k - you can't)

Then they just removed the censoring altogether
