It's looking pretty doubtful that that's gonna happen if you've read the new details about the game.

I've played every game more or less as they came out, but it looks like I'm gonna have to skip this one. Or at the very least wait to buy it used.

Welp.

Finally finished Dragon Quest XI S at 160 hours of playtime.

Finished the main game, post-game, all the sidequests, maxed out all the levels and skill trees, found all the best gear, and beat the 2D section with the secret superboss.

Technically all that's left the final super-secret super-megaboss, but the general consensus is that it needs close to max stats to beat it, which means hours of grinding for stat boost seeds.

F that. You don't even get a proper reward, and it's not integral to the story, so I'm officially calling this game done!

Overall, it's an excellent game, and quite possibly the best that Dragon Quest has gotten.

Kinda unbalanced having Lucario, a fully evolved pokemon with high base stats and powerful default moves, be in the list against stuff like bulbasaur or squirtle. Especially since you don't even know if the rest of them will evolve or not.

Maybe you meant Riolu?

If not then Lucario should be the obvious choice.

Yeah, it's still gonna be censored.

TMS is gonna be a simultaneous worldwide release and all the port is based on the western censored version.

I was looking forward to it too when I heard it was gonna get ported to the Switch, but then I found out about the censors still being in and I lost all interest.

Shame too since they added a few new stuff, like new costumes and the ability to fast-forward through battles (which is a godsend), but yeah, not enough new stuff to justify buying a clearly gimped base product.

Basically, the Japanese switch version of Tokyo Mirage Sessions is going to be based on the censored western release.

Fans got understandably upset, so they bought the Wii U version instead, and that made it the no.1 best-selling Wii U game in Amazon Japan.

If this doesn't send the message that censorship WILL lower interest/sales, nothing will.

either way, axel and alfimi are two of my favorite srw characters period, and a game with them as main characters is GOOD stuff

I'm gonna be honest, I have no experience at all with any of the SRW games.

I just really liked the Endless Frontier one on the DS but I had no idea it was even a part of the SRW universe until someone explained it to me.

Anybody here playing or have played Dragon Quest XI?

Looking for tips on how to build the party.

This is my setup so far

Hero - Greatswords
Erik - Dual-wielding Knives but has 2 boomerangs in the inventory for groups
Veronica - Nearly filled in Heavy Wands, working on Vim
Serena - Nearly filled in Wands, working on harpistry
Sylvando - Did the early hustle Dance trick, and filled out some Whips

I just got Jade and Rab, and I wanted some advice on how to build them.

Okay, I'm depressed. I just realized if I keep reading Love Tyrant at my current rate, I'll be at the end of its run in under a week. Conversely, I don't like having to stop reading it so I won't run out. And if I do run out, it's almost guaranteed that I'm going to look for something similar to binge.

If you're into wacky rom/coms like Love Tyrant, I HIGHLY recommend Jitsu wa Watashi wa.

It's definitely up there as one of the best rom/coms I've ever read. Plus, it's completed so you have 196+ chapters to binge.

I've read both Love Tyrant and Jitsu wa Watashi wa, and in my opinion, Jitsu wa is better than Love Tyrant by far.

Finally finished Vesperia Definitive the other day.

I missed scanning ONE missable monster and a couple of titles so it definitely wasn't a 100% run. More like 90%.

Oh well, it's pretty much impossible to do a perfect run before NG+ anyways so I'll just have to do it then.

But for now, I'm moving on to Dragon Quest XI!

I mean, with all the monsters in the world, the average life expectancy might be like 50 or something.

Couple that with the ending where they completely lose all the barriers, and would result in even more chaos and deaths, he might as well be a senior citizen at that point.

Forgot to mention it, but I saw Alita: Battle Angel the other day. It managed to be the first live action movie I've seen based on an anime/manga that was actually good.

Dude, watch the live action Rurouni Kenshin.

I saw Alita in the theaters about a month after it came out.

I liked it, but even having not read the manga or watched the anime, I could tell it was trying to cram a little bit too much into one movie, so it had a few pacing issues imo.

Other than that, it was definitely one of the better live action adaptations I've seen.

It gives me hope that eventually we'll see a live action Akira with bleeding edge cgi to make it even more gruesome.

It looks even more generic than the last one.

Still, the story is what really matters, so I'm sure I can just get used to the new art.

I liked it.

Haven't played Knight though so it's still the weakest of the Arkham games I've played.

I didn't particularly enjoy the fact that if you missed getting the Predator upgrades on specific early-game missions, you're pretty much screwed for the whole game.

Other than though, it was okay.

Going to watch Isekai Cheat Magician next. Not sure if it's rated so poorly because it's actually bad or if the isekai boom is making enough people hate on a mediocre show. Guess I'll find out soon.

Speaking purely from the manga, it's average at best.

It's literally just another isekai with no distinguishing factors to differentiate itself from the rest.

Woo! We finally got an ETA for the Endless Frontier EXCEED english patch!

According to the guy at gbatemp, the release will be on October 4, if all goes according to plan.

Naturally, things might go wrong so my personal expectation is somewhere between the 3rd and 4th weeks of October.

Still, I'm stoked to finally play the sequel to one of my favorite games on the DS.

Went with Vesperia in the end.

I've been wanting to play the enhanced version the longest out of all the games on that list.

Oh, and as an added bonus, I paid for it with one of those points for shopping apps, and I had enough points to get free movie tickets!

Watched Ad Astra with my mom and my two brothers.

I love being a cheap bastard and these low cost days.

The only Zelda I've ever thought would be good for Link would be Skyward Sword Zelda.

lol, I've sunk nearly 250 hours across multiple playthroughs of it back on the 360.

It's one of those games I can go back and replay and not get bored.

Plus, I've always lamented the fact that we didn't get all the added goodies the japanese ps3 version got, UNTIL NOW.

There are a couple of other games I'm intrested in like Stardew Valley that are under 30, but they're not on sale so I can wait until they do.

Been interested in the game since it's first launch on Kickstarter.

As a Filipino who spent 2/3 of my current lifespan in the Philippines, I think Jollibee is just... meh.

It's basically at the same level as McDonalds is here in the US.

But because of the popularity of the original Jollibee spaghetti, literally EVERY fast food place back there has some form of spaghetti/pasta.

Hell, even KFC has one.

Haven't seen the whole Nintendo direct yet, but I HAVE seen the trailer for the Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE port for the Switch.

I already have it for the WII U, but I gotta say, I'm pretty interested in seeing what new things they added for the Switch. Doubly so if they managed to remove all the censoring the Wii U version had.

Don't know when it started specifically, but I started to notice a very mild but dull ache in my molars whenever I woke up in the morning. Usually it would pass, or I would get so used to it that I stopped noticing.

Then a few months after that, it started getting worse and the pain would sometimse get sharp spikes where it felt like somebody was jabbing a spoon into my gums at the back. Not debilitating, but VERY noticeable.

Eventually it progressed to the point where the dull throbbing pain wouldn't pass or couldn't get ignored, so I had them removed.
