How does any gamer function without multiple controllers? Ive always had a minimum of two controllers for every system Ive owned. Think I have 4 or 5 PS4 controllers.

I tend to agree with you, but the weird thing is that I only have one PS4 controller and I am doing just fine. However, I have multiple controllers for all my other systems. I am sure that I will get a second PS4 controller at some point, but truth be told, I haven't had a reason to need an extra controller for the past year I have had my PS4 Slim.

To be fair, the move towards online multiplayer and the sharp decline in couch co-op make it less and less necessary to own a second controller. I can see people not owning extras on newer systems, but I still have a need for them. Sometimes my wife will play Mortal Kombat with me, or my kids will play LittleBigPlanet. Its handy having at least one extra in my experience.

Agree. I actually bought my wife an XBox One controller, but she has yet to use it for gaming, and we have had it for a year. What she does use it for, however, is to turn on the console and start Netflix and the show she would like to watch...so at least it is getting SOME use! :)

I have about 8 Atari 2600 joys all in varying condition, but they have come in handy with my little ones. I give them the more beat-up ones that still function right. The nice thing about 2600 joys, they can take quite a beating from a four year old.

I liked Rogue One, but the original (New Hope) is probably my favorite.

Mouse, yes.
Keyboard, no.

I can see your point. The mouse is the precise pointer, but I guess I always assume an FPS (I should have said I was talking about that genre since I was talking about it for Xbox) on a Mac/PC uses the keyboard in conjunction with the mouse.

I also agree that the Xbox controllers are superior to PlayStation's offerings (and I have both the One and PS4, as well as 360 and PS3), but I say that because I enjoy console FPS games. For me, the staggered sticks are the best way to play FPS games if you are going to play them on console (though, I still think mouse and keyboard on Mac/Windows are still the most precise in my experience).

I also like the bigger "home" button on the XBox controllers...seems easier to press than the PS "home" buttons.

Quincy M.E.

Though it went until 1983, I would say Quincy is more of a 70s show...all of its tropes seem to be planted in the mid-70s, which makes sense since it debuted in 1976. BUT, I suppose it is still valid since it ran into the 80s.

For me, will always love Miami Vice. Cagney and Lacey was good too.

The joker was barely even in it at all, such a waste and the movie was way too cheesy and over the top. I liked Batman Vs Superman but not this at all

Did anyone actually enjoy his film?

My wife did. But she has a very big thing for Jared Leto...ever since the 90s. :)

Did the PS3 finally surpass the 360? I guess the last numbers I saw, the 360 still had more total sales. When were the most recent sales for those two last updated? I would be curious to see the outcome.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/268966/total-number-of-game-consoles-sold-worldwide-by-console-type/

According to that, PS3 has outsold 360 by 1M units. Not sure how accurate that site is, though. And even if it is, 1M isnt a complete trouncing of Microsoft.

Thanks! Yeah, interesting site. I can't comment on the PS3 and 360 sales data, but I think their Atari 2600 is off by at least three million. I usually post more on AtariAge, and some of the actual Atari historians and ex-employees post quite extensively there...they always quote a smidge over 30 million for the 2600. But yeah, good graph for the general visualization of it all!

I think GenX technically goes through 1980. I was born in 1979, but I have done some research on GenX and all of the sources I have seen is that 1980 is the cut-off for it.

But, I have also seen that new Xennial thing that someone posted above. It is interesting to say the least, but I would include those years as 1977 through 1982 or '83 at the latest.

How about "Yes, and I have the GameBoy Player unit attached."

Back when the GameCube was still in production, I thought the GB Player unit would be of no use to me. Years later, and after finding a horde of my original GB games from 1989 and 1990 in storage, I obtained the GB Player for the GameCube...and that add-on is amazing to say the least!

Those of us of a certain age were (unless you were in the computer scene ala Commodore, Atari, MS-DOS) Mario kids first given what the industry was like after Atari exited (though not fully) and concentrated on computers for a few years in the mid-80s. When Mario came out, it really was a total mind blow.

However, when the Genesis was being pushed hard with the intro of Sonic, those of us of a certain age were now in our teens and the ad campaigns done by Sega during that time really made some of us dump Nintendo as the "kiddie" console. This happened to me. Hardcore Mario guy and defended him on the playground against my rich friend who had a Genesis off the bat (not to mention a NeoGeo). But once Mortal Kombat came out and the Genesis got the "good" version (i.e. BLOOD and FATALITIES), my brother and I pooled our birthday, Xmas, and other money to get a Genesis that came with Sonic 2, a rebate form for Sonic 1, and Mortal Kombat. And that turned me into a Sonic guy for the 90s.

Nowadays, I like them both equally.

My AOL email is still my main email account. Been using it since the Christmas of 1995. I see no reason to change it to something else from google or any other service. It does its job.

Anyway, regarding AIM, used it religiously for years until about 2008 or so...that is when I first heard about Facebook at my 10 Year high school reunion.

I remember when AIM first started...it was exclusively on AOL's dial-up service first...it then exploded in popularity on the dial-up service that they rolled it out to everyone who didn't have AOL. When I first started using AIM in...1996? 1997?...I thought it was the greatest invention since...CAR PHONES! :D
