| SumerNivek 11/30/19 6:11:28 AM #9 | Well, I am the one who actually liked the "weird" sequels on NES. I liked Zelda II, Super Mario 2, and this game more than there precursors at the time. Now, I would say only Zelda I has reverted back to being my preferred if I had to choose. Anyway, yeah, Castlevania II is weird, but certainly playable. I managed to beat it, which meant a lot to me since I could never beat the first game. I guess my fondness for Castlevania II was helped by my sub to Nintendo Power back then and having instant access (pre-internet) to a walk-through. :) I say give it a try...and if you want to keep real old school, get the Nintendo Power with the front cover that has Simon holding a decapitated Dracula head. --- "One more thing. | SumerNivek 08/25/19 10:25:38 AM #9 | We just bought my daughter the old-style 2DS for her 6th birthday last month, brand new in box. I had known that this was the last "official" year of support for the 3DS/2DS, but we figured that it would be a good system for her as her first, "very own" system. She plays NES and Atari 2600 with me, but those are considered "daddy's games." So she was really excited to get the tablet 2DS. She only has New Super Mario Bros 2 and Mario Kart 7, but she plays the heck out of both. Target and Wal-Mart still sell a few games, so I am hoping to pick up at least three or four more for her maybe as Xmas presents.
