Definitely worse than bottom quarter. I could see maybe trying to argue one or two of the ones right above it as also being candidates for last, but spelling clearly isn't the only reason it's so far behind everything else, since things like Gyarados did fine. If spelling is coming into play, it's because people are thinking of Lickitung within the last like, 2-3 Pokemon, and running out of time. It's a whole percentage point below the next lowest, and a whole 5% below something like Krabby/Kingler, which is like nearly 300,000 plays.

I understand now your deep love for Lickitung, though, so I guess I'll just agree to disagree.

Keep in mind the dynamic of how Sprocle quizzes work too. The time limit is a factor as is the order you will think of a Pokemon. If you don't think of Lickitung until you've got like 3 minutes left it may not feel prudent to waste time thinking about him if you miss a time or two when you're running low on time. Compare to Gyarados who is probably one of the earliest to think of and yeah.

By that logic, if you're arguing that people would be less likely to try and spell Lickitung correctly if they're low on time, doesn't that suggest Lickitung's ending up being one of the last ones people think of? >_>

EDIT: Like if the argument is now "They're thinking of Lickitung too late and running out of time before they spell it right," that's just a point in its favor for being least memorable!

Though in all seriousness, Victreebel is another one that is very, very easy to misspell, yet it finished much higher than Lickitung, implying people don't just try a name once and then give up on it.

I'm still confused why people don't seem to want to accept it's Lickitung.

It finished last in the Sporcle quiz by over a point even to the Exeggs which are easy to not spell correctly.

If we're considering the world over, it's not Krabby/Kingler since he's a meme in Japan because of Kingler's name being "club"

EDIT: Though really even if not considering the world over, said meme brought Kingler into the spotlight recently since people thought he might be getting a Galar form/evo because of said meme being all over the Pokemon Club website.

And they cheated against Bliss and Cross, which turned them face for... reasons. Then Lacey was heel against Natalya but then face with Natalya but then heel or face or who knows what the hell she is right now for... reasons

Are they even trying to explain literally any of this, or is it just "Well this person was meaner than this one this week so that one's the heel and that one's face now"

It's not even hundreds. Diamond and Pearl had all non-legendaries catchable except Lickitung and Tangela. If you remove the GBA slot ones, you're missing 22 non-legendary lines. You could probably get the version exclusives for your version exclusives, so that's probably an hour of breeding at most. It'd take longer to wait for the trades than to breed the things.
