Apparently me having the thought that a person's opinion on the game doesn't have the same merit as one who has is some sort of extreme? Even though in the context of the discussion and the post I made is referencing the fact I feel like that person is missing an entire portion of the medium. Which is a big deal to me. I never even said no one can have negative or dissenting, critical thoughts on the game or the narrative, I said I wouldn't take them seriously, as opposed to someone who has. He believes the narrative isn't affected by pushing buttons, I do. There isn't much beyond that because it's a disconnect. I think it plays a large part in the overall medium of story telling, he doesn't. Oh well. --- |

You are missing an integral part of the medium(Vision, hearing, and touch, which kudos for ND for giving so many accessibility options) unless of course you have some disability preventing you from experience the medium . Even narratively speaking you can still potentially miss out on character building, and world building moments by just watching some streams and videos because said person skipped out on optional dialogue or items laying around in the world. Is it enough to sway your opinion the other way? Maybe(and probably) not. You are still of course free to discuss on the narrative, story, characters, but you are still missing an entire section of the medium. --- |

You aren't too far off in a sense. Chin-ups require more power from the biceps compared to the pull-up, which for the most part is all back muscle. The everyday normal person probably gets more use out of their bicep compared to their lats and rhomboids. --- |

When male's develop breasts either by transitioning, by being having excess fat or a medical issue such as Gynecomastia they also happen to get fullness in the same area. In the leaked sex scene you can clearly see it's anatomically correct where the breast begins, and they are there, they just happen to be small. Take a goddamn anatomy class. --- |

Killing Joel off is a big blow to the fans of the game, and of him, and yes the game gets darker from there as already stated by Neil. Of course if nothing happens in terms of character growth(for any of the characters) in the next 20 hours of the game. Then yeah I agree this is a hard misstep, and is just a fantasy revenge torture porn game, but as far as I am aware we don't have that information and if we do it's coming from second hand information, unless there is full blown full play-through leaks out. I also agree that bias can inherently exist in reviews causing more 'glowing reviews'(whether or not it's for advertising or exchanging positive or transaction feedback in other ways) at the same time though, you don't get this many 9's and 10's, and even the 'bad reviews are still in the 7 range making it still and enjoyable ride. Not really here to argue anything, it just blows my mind how people are going nuts. Maybe I just don't care about Joel all that much. --- |
