Tbh I would've been fine doing so from the very beginning, especially for Zeke considering he was already officially revealed as a party member by Nintendo before release.

It is moddable to do so, though.

Zeke is shown as playable in some Xenoblade 2 commercials so GameFAQs does not consider it a violation to talk about him. It's left to the users to decide if they want to hide his name or not.

i originally thought I wanted to use 5th instead of 4th in my party so i could have two full atk members. but 5th's smash animation is stupidity long.

perun was originally on 4th but i moved her to 5th. now i decided i want to keep 4th in my party after all and used another overdrive to get perun back on 4th lol

Just noticed that I somehow have zero blades with Expeditionist, so I cant do the Nopon Murals sidequest right now. Spent about 50 cores trying to find one, got two rares, but still no Expeditionist. Stupid.

so I was fighting this guy and his blade fell off the walkway

at that point the audio started freaking out and he just stood still and let me hit him until he died and which point the audio freakouts ended

I ended up with a Common Blade that has the Orb Master V Battle skill. It's pretty cool. What it does is make every hit in a Blade Combo generate an Orb (if there isn't already an Orb of that element). Furthermore, the effect is party wide for some reason. So if the Lv1, Lv2 and Lv3 Specials are 3 different elements I get 3 Orbs. I can pretty much set up an 8 Orb Full Burst in two and a half Blade combos.

Annoying noob checking in. I haven't played one second of this or X, but I consider the original Xenoblade a top 10 game. Without spoilers, what's the very general consensus on this game as it relates to the original? I read the other topic complaining about "gacha" crap and it seems... eh.

the gacha system isn't great and or made easy to use, but I'm still really enjoying the actual game a ton

Since becoming overleveled the only bosses that really give me trouble are the ones that randomly have spike damage. But I've never been able to tell when an enemy is doing spike damage so it just happens and I die.

I agree with this. I have no idea why I suddenly die.

you guys i just got to early ch5 fonsettand leveled my entire party 5 or 6 levels using exp from grinding merc missions

im level 54-57and the "tough" path enemies on the alternate path for this continent are a good 10 levels below. the recommended path enemies are 20 levels below lol

It's a Grand Strategy game with Crusader Kings-esque management features until you initiate combat in which it turns into a RTS with persistent squads that gain experience/levels, and, in the case of generals, new abilities, like an RPG.

I'm using rex, nia, 4th. put wulfric and perun on 4th but it seems like wulfric never really gets used

also I'm lacking a wind element, so I might have to take flerun off of nia for adreine

and I just beat that unique fight in ch5 off the tiny island. bastard nearly gave me a heart attack when he popped outta nowhere and almost gave me another heart attack when he summoned more of those annoying spikey monsters.
