when Arcade Edition launches (sometime in the middle of the night if I read the maintenance notification correctly), you will no longer be able to earn fight money for completing survival, demonstrations, story mode, or individual character stories. You will still earn money for leveling up, completing weekly challenges, and fighting online. I believe they've said there's another new way to earn FM, but I don't think they've gone into detail about it.

apparently I never finished story because it seems like I got frustrated by the Nash/Bison fight. so I guess I'm doing that tonight.

I should end up with around ~350k FM. Maybe I'll just buy Sakura tomorrow with real money to get her costume as well and use my FM on the rest of the season.

I did some of that stuff already, I bought Juri with fight money probaly with what I got from beating the story mode and some of the character stories. But that's a good checklist of stuff to look out for, thanks.

as you probably know prologues are pretty easy, especially if you skip the story (you can always come back to it)

demonstrations you can just skip all of the text and you'll get free money and exp

easy survival shouldn't be too hard

normal story mode can be a pain since they shuffle out characters. its worth 100k if you beat it. You want this

this is a line right here. At LEAST do everything above before attempting the ones below

normal survival you'll definitely need an understanding of the characters to beat it.

hard story mode is actually pretty damn hard. IIRC You get 80k if you beat hard mode

do them in those before its too late

Trials you get like 3000 FM and 5000 exp per character but you have to finish all 10 trials to get it. Its not alot but it adds up. as I found out, they got carried away with it in "Volume 2", a whole new set of trials. Alot of these combos in vol 2 are so impractically long and stupid.

sfv has its fair share of flaws, but i don't recall totally hating on it.

that said, AE looks fairly comprehensive in the things it's trying to address (too bad that some AA jabs still seem to be in).

whats funny is everyone on the internet thinks Karin's Volume 2 Trial 6 is the hardest thing ever

I thought the same of Karin's trial 5 and I couldn't find any information or tips on it >_>

Trial 5 took me about an hour or so to do

and then I did Trial 6 in 5 minutes

I went through this past weekend and finished the remaining trials I hadn't done yet.

and Karin has multiple hard trials. They're definitely the hardest in the game.

edit - Pun, I think the Karin trial trick is when you do qcf+k > p, you have to hit punch really fast after the kick. If you do it too slow, it still hits, but then you can't hit the next move. That trial 5 took me longer than any other in the game.
