I just had Enginers of one sort or another on both sides of the family.
On the Italian side, my Grandfather was an engineer in WWII.
He went on to work as a local, but national plant where he was a troubleshooter.
On my other side, look up The Campbell Diagram. Every Turbo uses it to some degree.

But I guess I am referring to the Cold War Space Race era, when schools made Science seem more important.

It was actually my Grandfather who made sure my brothers and I got a PC....A Vic 20, before the C64.
We didn't have much, but we did have that.

Both of my parents were boomers, my dad was decent with Computers, but my mother didn't make it long enough to ever really get good with them. Though I am sure she could have.

But from the Self Titled, to No Prayer for the Dying, they are iconic.

I pre-ordered the game because I loved the first 2 games in the WWI series. The reviews are correct, Isonzo does suck. It added too much busy work unlocks and abilities which take away from the realism the series was known for.

Not even worth playing for free now as the game can no longer even keep 1 full server up anymore. Best to stick with the first game Verdunn as the other two games Isonzo and Tannenberg are always dead.

Uhh, there were hundreds of people playing it this weekend.
As for Tann your best to checkout the Euro servers. Europeans tend to take that game more seriously.

As for, in general, a lower user base, that might not be a bad thing. It keeps the obnoxious FPS bros out.
Also, I wouldn't doubt the difficulty of the games push some people away.

If you are even remotely interested in this sort of musket era FPS with long load times, Holdfast is great, though I can't say how active the community is nowadays.

I am not necessarily into that, but I would try it on a free-to-play weekend.
Having said that Napolian Total War is my go to.

There aren't many games about The American Revolution.
I have played the Total war version, but it's a bit small, unless there is a Darthmod I don't know about.
But I live within a Canons echo of the Saratoga Battle Field, so that sort of thing has alway been top of mind.

Until then, the is always good old, Sid Meier's Colonization.

I used a piece of art that had the word suicide in it as a profile picture on yahoo messenger when I was a kid my grandad found out and next thing I know my mom is all over my ass about it. I didn't have any connections to my family on the internet and I know they didn't even know my username. My grandad was just very tech savvy. I still don't know how he found it. I just liked the artwork I tried editing out the word suicide but it changed the file format and yahoo wouldn't take it so I went with the original.

My brother used his Webcam to record something once to send to someone and my grandad found that shit too.

They used to Teach Science in school.

Huh? I was specifically talking about the guy saying it got a bad review. The review probably knocked the graphics because their not AAA. To me they look good enough. I haven't read the review but my assumption is that they didn't like the graphics and it didn't play like call of duty or battlefield.

I enjoyed Verdun a lot but then it runs into the problem with most multiplayer shooters that allows lots of players: you get one guy hacking and ruining it for the entire server, which doubly hurts because there aren't that many servers because it's not that popular of a game.

He is a good rival though.
I respect him and like fighting against him.

I used to Lown Wolf in Tannenbuger.
The Devs reduced the size of the maps, and they sighted that.
I really wish they hadn't. Tannenburge had some awesome open-world, capture the flag maps.
It still does, but it is less tactical then it once was.

Right now, Izono has a bunch of noobs, which can be difficult in it's way.

Lest we forget.
~And in the meantime, D&D was taking over kids' brains, creating cults.
