Not even hidden in a far-flung note or anything...just says it straight up. Not that it's that big of a deal to use the switches, although I do think that affects the lighting as well (???), so if you dump bodies in shadows, they may not be there when the lights come back on. At least, that was the experience I had when I reloaded at some point and found a bunch of my well-hidden bodies were just laying in the open.

Surprisingly, not that difficult at all, with a couple items behind high-tech security and the rest in plain sight, where even the fattest, laziest guard could stuff his pockets with ease. I have no doubt those two bungling burglars who got zapped could've purloined many a hot item here -- truly men after Garrett's own heart. But I get the payday and they get a pine box...oh well.
Seems the final (?) quest is scooting around town to place items at monuments to kill the witch...or something. Already memorized the map for the most part, so there's no big deal there. I assume I can finally put my statue-bludgeoning club to good use en route, 'cause that power-up wouldn't be that useful otherwise. | Shotgunnova 11/11/23 7:00:18 AM #255 | Deadly Shadows has had a few undead enemies (Hammer Haunts, regular zombies) so far, but most levels consist only of human(oid)s to fight. Since you go through city streets between actual missions, you might be playing many, many hours before you even encounter even a single one. But if you're unnerved by the creepy crawlies, you might have difficulty with the Cradle mission, lol.

Not sure if this is the final mission or the final real mission, but it looks like we can have some fun. Thought about getting the replicas, but...naw.

| Shotgunnova 11/10/23 6:15:37 PM #250 | Yeah, the Cradle and Angelwatch definitely stand out among all missions for their scope and level design. It's evident in retrospect that Dishonored 2 took a few tips from the Cradle mission to make their own fantastic seventh mission, which stands out among all Dishonored levels. (Not surprising to see any overlap among those franchises, though, given the similarities.)
But yeah, not being able to stab the hired help kinda sucked at first, especially since the first toy I found was the sharpened silverware, haha. Another annoying thing was when you first try to complete the level, the basement jail cage opened on its own EVERY time I did it, right in front of the ghost guard, who aggroed immediately. I had to make a break for the ladder and barely got up, haha. Jumping out the staff tower's window by hopping on their meeting table was a little harrowing, too. I wish they had kept the zombie noises from earlier Thief games, though. Now THOSE zombies knew how to reveal their presence and make you annoyed as hell. Momatty posted... Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but I'd recommend The Dark Mod. It's basically Thief using the Doom 3 engine with only fan made mods.Ehh, I'm a bit Thiefed out at the moment. I could definitely see myself replaying Deadly Shadows to do a guide, though, if I felt up to it. Doubly nice since I didn't go get the map at Fort Ironwood. Now that it's over, though, I went down to the Hammers' place and found the secret grave, so as Orland was doing his ceremony, the little girl revealed herself to be the evil abomination. She makes Karras look like an Eagle Scout, haha...possible death count nonwithstanding.
