The plot's a slow burner, but the campaign itself is pretty good. Unfortunately, a lot of the missions themselves are samey-feeling, wasting some of the potential from the great characters, dialogue, etc. As for RDO, it's incredibly mediocre right now because there's about 8 missions to do (none that impressive) and there haven't been any major content updates to it since the beta released.

I got Ameli's equipment and have been buying tokens after that. Not super interested in the avatars and stuff, but I'll still get 'em. I've been doing 7-6 by having a sacrificial unit weaken the boss, then leave, while my Thompson team commits a Valentine Day's Massacre afterward, haha.

But yeah, the boss-bullying events get a little tiresome after awhile.

Even RDR2 is terrible with its auto-aiming crutch.

Turn it off. I recommend this to everyone on every post-San Andreas R* game. There's no reason to leave auto aim on. Every R* game that allows you to turn off auto aim immediately becomes a lot better as a result

The problem is the auto-aiming is what makes it possible to actually do anything. Manually aiming is equally mediocre due to sluggishness. You'd think they would've improved on the RDR formula in eight years, but naw.

ONI, they pretend it never existed.

Came in to say this. It had some...interesting battle styles, but yeah, it's a complete mess. I can't think of a single R* game that had a good battle system, honestly. Even RDR2 is terrible with its auto-aiming crutch.
