Granted it's a little bit cheaty but what do the x-stats say if you run Seph's strength through his Tifa loss and then run that through Samus and then Mario? I assume that has him marginally weaker than his straight up Mario loss.

I don't think that's quite enough to put Aerith > Seph in the x-stats though right?

Half of me thinks that Zelda > Mario saves my bracket since I'm in the Top 15

But then the other half thinks if Zelda > Snake > Mario then my Snake > Mario at this point may have gotten me Top 5 if not for Zelda scorching the earth

I think the worst part was all the Nuggets fans arguing with me that it was called fairly and that the Nuggets were amazing to win despite the Magic scoring 20 3's.

It's just so frustrating. Off just the last 3 weeks the Magic should be 15-11 or 16-10 if the refs had called the game correctly in the final 2 minutes. Hell even if they called the game incorrectly but were even about it woke be fine. But every time I open a 2 minute report it seems it favors the Magic's opponents and usually in a 1-3 point game.

So I looked up the NBA 2 minute reports

Assuming last night goes the way I think when they publish the 2 minute report, it will have been the 4th time in only 3 weeks that Orlando Magic have been disadvantaged in the 2 minute report. At least 3 of those times it would have changed the result. The 4th was debatable (6 point match but tied at point of incorrect call and that 6 point was built up via intentional fouls to force free throws)

Well actually I guess we do have a kind of indirect way of measuring Samus/Zelda.

You could run the xstats to see what it says Tifa does to Aerith if Zelda = Samus. Then judge it from there as to whether it sounds plausible

The problem with Zelda is that she is clearly massively boosted yet her end result is likely tainted by SFF and we have no idea how much.

So it's hard for us to say if Zelda is as strong as Samus or not. I'm sure she loses to Samus straight up but I'm sure there's SFF there too.

The amount of times in this game that I wanted to tweet something about the refs, but then had to pause because the refs did something else to top it has been incredible.

The Magic played more than good enough to win, and the refs stole this from Orlando. Horrible officiating.

This game doesnt need a final 2-minute review, it needs a 48-minute review plus overtime. Complete bullshit from start to finish.

It is absurd. There wasnt one team playing more aggressive than the other. It was insane that the free throw disparity was 37 to 8.

There was three technical fouls called on Vucevic and Fournier, and one in the final two minutes of overtime when the game was on the line.

Jamal Murray berated the refs at the end of the 4th, chasing down the refs, had to be held back by his teammate. No technical.

There was was blatant fouls from Plumlee and Millsap that were completely overlooked, or even worse called AGAINST the Magic.

Millsap elbowed Gordon in the chest, and a foul was called on Gordon. Plumlee hooked Gordon, and a foul was called on Gordon. Makes no sense.

The disparity just makes you wonder what the hell they refs were doing.

Fox Sports just replayed the foul on Murray that shouldnt have been free throws, as Orlando wasnt over the limit, but to make it worse Murray stepped out of bounds TWICE. Right in front of the official.

That was the worst officiated game Ive ever been part of. Ever! Ever! Steve Clifford just shouted at the refs after the final buzzer

This was followed by him refusing to blame officials whatsoever in the press conference after the game saying he would have to review game film first. Said we lost due to a failure to defend the high pick and roll, wouldn't blame officials whatsoever.

It was really bad. Even if we just ignore the massive FT disparity (37-8) there's a few plays that really stand out that are game changing in the order they happened.

* Late in the 4th (under 2 minutes left so reviewable) there is an out of bounds play that goes Nuggets way, replays show it was the wrong call. Aaron Gordon literally begs officials to review, they don't. Shortly after at the other end an out of bounds play goes the Magic's way, get reviewed and reversed. Right call but just jarring because of what happened before that at the other end.

* Murray blows up at the refs with 9 seconds left and doesn't get a technical. Magic got 3 technicals for far less including an ejection.

* Nuggets get sent to the line for a non shooting foul in OT when not at the limit. The Magic point out that Nuggets are not at the limit. Refs send them to the line anyway.

* 20 seconds left in OT. 3 point game. Murray steps out of bounds right in front of the official. Twice. Doesn't get called, he then gets fouled and Nuggets go up 5 and game is over.

It was an OT game so all the above are absolutely game changing. And again that's if you completely ignore the massive FT disparity between the 2 teams. The Magic actually changed their tactics because of it. They stopped driving to the basket because nothing was getting called (They had 0 FT's in the first 39 mins of play) and resorted to shooting ridiculous amounts of 3's instead (49)

The officials absolutely changed the result of that game. The TV station are ripping into the officials now and pulling up replays of all the bad calls they made.

They just pulled up a replay of Murray blatantly stepping out of bounds on a game changing play and it wasn't called. And now they are showing the replay on the Fournier foul out / ejection to highlight how it shouldn't have even been a foul.

The NBA seriously seriously need to review this match. The shit that went down in this match is the type of stuff that happens when matches are rigged.

The problem with this? They weren't at the fucking bonus.

Prime example of this foul calling bullshit with this quick 3 play exchange in OT

Millsap gets minimal contact and he initiated it - Gets free throws
Gordon gets tons of contact at other end when shooting - Nothing called
Millsap commits offensive foul under basket to create space and score - Foul not called, bucket stands

Also literally just happened. Fournier given a technical foul and ejected for barely talking back to official when fouling out. Jamal Murray went ballistic at officials with 2 seconds left and the game tied at the end of the 4th and no technical called.

I really hope the NBA investigates this because they just aren't calling fouls remotely the same for both teams. Like the Nuggets should have more free throws but not this wide a margin. They are calling absolutely everything on the Magic and then absolutely nothing the other way. If the Nuggets 30 are how fouls are being called then the Magic should probably have like 14-16. If they called the Nuggets the same way as the Magic they would have like maybe half the free throws they have

The primary leaderboard probably isn't changing much until Mega Man vs. Crono. Everything until then is going to be stuff that everyone gets right (like Samus today), or everyone gets wrong (like Snake today, who most would have picked Sonic or even Zelda).

I had Snake winning that match. Not checked where I am on the leaderboard recently but somewhere in the Top 20

People didn't admit to vote stuffing for her though. What happened was what I said and then that was somehow twisted into the person was trying to stuff for Tifa rather than proving that someone had used VPNs to vote for MMX. Literally nobody said they vote stuffed for Tifa, that was all Black Turtle twisting what was said

I don't know where this notion of Tifa cheating comes from. Someone investigated the Peru VPNs and found them to have voted for MMX and somehow this was twisted into Tifa vote stuffing? Like it doesn't make sense to me.

So 14.1m cap space, 7 holes, 8 draft picks. Sounds doable although some of those holes are very expensive holes. I do have a cuttable 6m contract but it would be nice if I could stay under cap without eating that 1.1m in dead money.

Man watching this Magic game and we are winning which is nice but really the thing I'm happiest about is that the refs haven't called shit. Like I think I have only seen 1 team in the bonus all game and that was us for like the final minute of the 2nd.

Theres been plenty of contact that would be called fouls normally but the refs have let it roll and that's how it should be. Call the serious ones, let the nominal ones go

Oh and final thing is the pic could swing it but admittedly I can't even remember the original pic to know if Pikachu had an advantage. Nor have I looked at the pic for the upcoming match

I wouldn't be surprised if we get the same result but couple of different reasons for me

I think Crono/Bowser fans are more likely to favor Mega Man than Link/Ganon fans and you are forced to vote in both matches. I don't have a particular reason for thinking that, just a gut feeling.

I think people are people are more apathetic in the losers bracket and I would think that Pikachu would gain more of that casual/apathy vote that is lost.

In a close match, especially one repeated so soon afterwards I get the feeling that the result will either swing the other way or no longer be close. Pikachu likely got the underdog/momentum vote first time around and is less likely to get it the second time around after already beating Mega Man once.

People are probably less likely to rally in a losers bracket rematch (or the original losing side is more likely to rally) which probably favors Mega Man. Hey rally this person to victory over the same person they just beat last week doesn't quite have the same luster to it.

And basically only 1-2 of the above have to be right for the result to swing

Well this is the part of the season where you reshape your team and has the most user input.

Once we are in season obviously we like to see how our teams do and results but from a user standpoint it is very much a stand back and see where the dice falls kind of thing. There's far less you can do in season than offseason. Whereas draft time / free agency is where you get lots of new players in and set up your team for the year. There's more trades and you get to see what everyone else is doing too. You get analysis from users as well.

Draft board time is where you are full of hope and get to see lots of new incoming players and how they slot in. Like I have a ton of holes and will be looking to fill them with draft picks. So the board release is kind of when I can see if that's possible by what is projected on the board.

My favorite time of year is actually stat PMs and rating changes (which is why the break between seasons is so hard). This is also why I try to make a lot of live sims, not only because it's fun to chat in there and to see how everything goes but because that's where i get my stats and I try keep track of how my players are doing.

This may also be partially fueled by the fact that I know I am very unlikely to make the superbowl and getting new players / developing them and the team is the goal of the season

Those were my RB1 + 2 in the league where I was favored to win the playoffs. 16 man league so waivers are threadbare

Could even be something as silly as the other match that is on during the day since you have to vote for all matches.
