First listen and I'm a little conflicted. I've heard at least a third of these songs before but I've never had any real desire to seek them out. An hour of this and I was a little fatigued of it..

If I had to guess, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix probably has the least deviation, since nearly all of us agreed "1901" and "Lisztomania" were in the top 3.

I love data but I'm not a statistics major so I'm not certain myself. I'd imagine you'd have to take into account the album length, likely dividing the deviation by the number of tracks?

It's pretty simple to look at with Moon Patrol since it had 10 tracks.

Lot of disparity with Moon Patrol. As someone else mentioned in its topic, 9 of the 10 songs had at least one person rank it #1 or #2 (except being Kelly Watch the Stars). Conversely, 8 of the 10 songs had at least one person rank it #10 (exceptions being La femme d'argent and Ce matin l).

So, now that we're 25 albums in, any fun/interesting statistics to give us about this project?

• What were the least and most ranked albums?
• Which albums had the least and most deviation (perhaps taking into account # of tracks)?
• Who cumulatively of the rankers had the most deviation?

Wow...that thing is over two and a half feet tall... The box it'll come in will be even bigger, so if you buy multiple, make sure you'll have room to store them all.

I loved F-Zero X and GX back in the day. Haven't played them in forever.

You look at F-Zero though, with it's 30 car races and ability to attack/shunt, and you have to wonder why Nintendo doesn't see an opportunity to go after the battle royale market with this franchise.

Imagine 100+ cars on track at once. Or maybe you do smaller 25 car fields and then auto-merge the remaining players as the race goes on. As the laps continue, add more obstacles, or decrease the size/length of the energy zones, or narrow the track.

You could sell cars, skins, whatever... (not a fan of this but just saying...)

I mean, RIGHT?!?

I'm at 69% Items and 78% (or so) Map. Been really enjoying the exploration. The drone's gets great maneuverability with the grappling hook and the hovering, and then the powers that ease the switching between worlds (jump back at any time and then the one that can pull the portals to you)...so good.

The combat is meh. The bosses are completely underwhelming, at least of the ones I've run across so far.

First listen, and you guys are right, this is pretty good! A very easy listen and I'm looking forward to doing the ranking.

I know this is an easy comparison because they're both French but there were quite a few songs here that reminded me of a more chill Daft Punk.

This one grew one me quite a bit on re-listens. I just wish the singing didn't feel so damn amateur hour. As I said previously, you can most get past it but there's also that little voice in my head going "but imagine if the singing was better...".

Really interested in seeing the ranking for this though. There doesn't appear to be any major consensus; a lot of different songs at #1.

I'd passed by at least a dozen of them as I ran around the ENTIRE map that was open to me at least twice.

When you get that power the first thing you use it on is a platform. I don't think they ever make it clear/obvious you can use it on the pedestals.

Yes, the vaxx rates among minorities is substantially lower than rates for whites.

In terms of 2024, none of the shit happening today is going to matter. 80% of the country is already going to vote R or D no matter what. There is no staunch D voter that's going to switch to Trump/DeSantis/whomever because of Afghanistan. For the last 20%, it's going to be how things are come election day (i.e. the economy). I for one am not SHOCKED at the calcification of these results over the last ten years. From a certain perspective, it's kinda scary how nearly identical the results are for the last few polls. It's the grand proof that no one new comes to GameFAQs anymore.

First listen and this one really didn't do much of anything for me. I guess I liked some of the piano bits but other than that... I didn't particularly enjoy Mr. Folds singing at all.

I like this album quite a bit. Not love, but it's very solid. At a certain point I'm not sure if that's just familiarity from having heard it so many times but I listened to this 4 more times this week and re-enjoyed it every time. There's quite a few bands from back in my high school and college days that I, for one reason or another, never want to hear again. The Killers are not one of those.

Turns out, I'd not heard Change Your Mind before! Lets be totally honest, I got a lot of music during that time early/mid 00s time from...clandestine...sources, and apparently it was labeled as Change Your Mind but was actually Glamorous Indie Rock & Roll. Never knew! Change Your Mind is a pretty forgettable track though, so seems like I got the better end.

I nominated Hot Fuss because, like Is This It, it's considered a "classic" of the era, so I thought it was the right album for this. It's not my favorite Killers album, that honor probably goes to Day & Age (which I think goes against the grain of most people's opinions). Been a while since I listened to Sam's Town so that one might be better as well. Battle Born is the last Killers album I've heard but I could never get into it; by that point my musical tastes had shifted.

If nothing else, Mr Brightside, and to a lesser extent, Somebody Told Me, will likely stand the test of time.

Ah, I was so confused! I'm like, "I know I've heard that song before" but it's not on the Hot Fuss album I have in mp3 form. Turns out it was (also?) on one of their subsequent albums, Sawdust. The track IS part of Spotify's version of Hot Fuss though so that makes it simple.
