I feel like they've done a good job with this for the most part. ~~How exactly did Moiraine get to Siuan? I can't imagine it's Traveling but would have liked an explanation or at least a throwaway comment. Were they in Siuan's quarters or back someplace in Tear?~~ ~~In the books any Moiraine/Siuan relationship was more implied than anything else. Not a big deal but I wonder if they'll still go in the book's direction with Thom. I'm guessing not.~~ They really took some liberties with the Waygate. I thought it was actually in Tar Valon but that's not a big deal. What IS a big deal is that they changed how they work! It's supposed to be moving a leaf that opens it, not the damn One Power. ~~What was the deal with Rand "seeing" the sickness come out of Mat? Did he see the weaves too?~~ ~~What was the deal with Moiraine (or anyone else) not recognizing Nynaeve's strength? And guess what, you're going to end up filling those hours with your hobbies. Which will be more expensive than the nothing you pay while you're toiling away at a job. $5 million gives you enough to buy a house and then be comfortable enjoying your hobbies for the next 40-50 years. Talk about an awful way to start your day! Thankfully insurance covered the replacements and fixing the damage done because of the car sitting on those plastic cartons. Seanchan 12/02/21 5:58:15 PM #22	I've had many different ideas on where to go with my week, though I've got a 3 pack I'd really like to put up, depending upon if any get selected before that point. My musical tastes are not nearly as eclectic as some of you, so my choices are almost always going to trend toward the more mainstream, or at the very least more "accessible"/"easy listening". I did worry that once we got to the user weeks that things would get too obscure...but at the same time I don't mind hearing things I wouldn't expect. Sometimes you get The Knife and Air, other times you get The Pixies or The Avalanches. I'm sure we'll get to Metallica and The Rolling Stones and Stevie Wonder and stuff like that at some point. Surprised Pink Floyd and Rancid beat out Jessie Ware, LCD Soundsystem, and quite a few others. Maybe because I was bouncing between their songs a lot when trying to rank. Also surprised that Sin tops the song list with 9 plays. I'd like to watch those again and then stream Resurrections on HBO Max. Since getting my OLED I don't bother with theaters any more. Book spoilers: I know that there IS some gender swapping when people like some of the Forsaken are reborn/reincarnated. Personally, that was one of the things I hope the tv show eliminates. I hated all the speculation about every new character being someone brought back. I'm 99.9% sure the books make it abundantly clear that it's a male because Lews Therin was male and the DR being able to channel is super scary because of the madness. Here are my thoughts as I went along: ~~Perrin wasn't married...~~ ~~Where's Moiraine's staff or her head jewelry? I believe the gem was a minor angreal of some sort?~~ ~~Most of the casting seems pretty alright, except for Egwene for whatever reason. Not to say I think the actress is bad, just that she's not matching up with my head canon for the character.~~ ~~They didn't mention at all about Rand being given Tam's heron marked blade. I'm pretty sure Rand understood the significance of it in the books (or maybe Lan mentioned it) but maybe not.~~ ~~Didn't remember that the whole crew went into Shadar Logoth...but maybe that is what happened in the books~~ ~~Where's Thom's big, white, bushy mustache?!?~~ ~~Really liked the way the represented the weaving of the One Power, especially the taint on saidin.~~ ~~That scene with Nynaeve healing all those Aes Sedai was definitely not in the books!~~ With all that said, I'm not a super stickler for keeping things exactly the same as the books. An adaption should do what it needs to do to tell the story, just as long as it keeps the spirit of the source material intact. By the time I finished episode 4, it felt like the series had really started to find its footing. Seanchan 11/27/21 8:10:11 PM #22	I think Dandara is a small dev indy game. I got it for free on the Epic Game Store at some point. I struggle to think of anything that plays quite like it. You basically jump between points along the walls to move, and there's a decent mix of action/bosses and "platforming" puzzles. It takes some getting used but the uniqueness of it makes it worth at least trying. I didn't like La Mulana at all. I played for a few hours and found it to be inscrutable. I literally just finished playing Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom a few weeks ago. It's fine enough but I wouldn't call it a "top tier" Metroidvania by any stretch. Even with spray beforehand, there's still some bits that stick and need to be legit cleaned. Not a full five minutes worth of cleaning time, but it's more than 20 seconds. You shouldn't spray a non-stick pan. Seanchan 11/16/21 1:21:46 PM #13	I do oatmeal and then greek yogurt most mornings. Carbs from the oatmeal and protein (and some fat/carbs) from the yogurt. Works pretty well. You could try those breakfast bars or maybe an energy/protein bar.
