(that's a thing, right?) she definitely enjoyed the prequels more. she liked anakin a lot more than luke because she likes competence. i think the pacing/tone of them and general sense of visual noise probably appeals more to her too than the kinda grittier look of the 70s/80s movies. she was also mad about watching the prequel trilogy before return of the jedi when she found out but i think the prequels might have increased her enthusiasm about return of the jedi! from my POV - episode 1 is ultra-tedious; episode 2 is action-packed but still kinda tedious except when christopher lee is on screen; episode 3 is still unbelievably hilariously hammy, even in comparison to those two, but by far the most enjoyable of them. --- yet all azuarc of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness |
