Sure sounds like Russia. Anyone that protests is arrested and beaten. Oligarchs that speak out against Putin "mysteriously" end up dead. The state has strict control over business, both in how the oligarchy takes most of the money and are all friends of or appointed by Putin, and how quickly Putin clamps down and claims state ownership of property as companies tried to leave. And now people are being literally dragged from the streets and sent off to die. Oh, and let's not forget the abduction of Ukrainian children and forced mass migration of Ukrainians to "filtration camps" (which almost doesn't sound like concentration camp!).

I definitely agree with you because I take this shit seriously and it's entirely fucked. But I can see how Lokarin said what he said - at least based on my reading of wikipedia's entry on fascism (with a search for capitalism), and it seems pretty well-cited here.

I was going to argue that capitalism is part of fascism for a sec, but I brushed up on my reading briefly...fascists definitely yank away the levers of capitalism. You're definitely correct on the basis of definitions and their written histories - we'll have to see if Russia pushes into Fascism, I think it's definitely possible :\

You guys surprised me honestly, I half suspected you'd tear me a new asshole for questioning the show. But really I don't mind what people like. It's just interesting when something doesn't make sense sometimes.

One show I never watched for years was House MD. I suddenly started watching it and I loved it. I stopped being a show watching person after the 90s I guess. I always had things to do. I played mmos or watched film on my leisure time. I'd watch stuff like Hardcore Pawn or Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel. Stuff like that.

For random filler stuff I always am just watching animal documentaries, nature docs, Antique Roadshow type stuff, Forensic Files, Unsolved Mysteries. The only sport I enjoy watching is golf and only because I'm good at it. It's neat watching the pros do stuff that I can tell is hard as shit lol.

I never watched House, but it really intrigued be as a young person, so maybe I'd be super into it!

Fair, makes sense. Just a matter of taste obviously - I know that the 'deep' crap I watch about military supply would infuriate and/or put the average person I know to sleep.

I find 99% of sitcoms shallow. The humour is shallow, as are the relationships. Big Bang Theory is just a very standard sitcom, like Two and a Half Men. Sure, there'll be a joke occasionally that makes me laugh (usually due to absurdity), but overall it's just boring.

Seinfeld was absurd enough that it got boring less often. I watch very little TV these days though, so even sitting down to watch a bunch of Seinfeld would probably get tiring.

Subtract any particulars from his present 'comeback' acts, and I'd consider him incredibly boring. His old stuff is great, but never really considered him the GOAT. I just find him to be an on-stage complainer now. One of the best specials this year was Stavros Halkias's. That's just good funny shit. She's been super one-note in targeting trans people with her apparent strong dislike for them. She seems to rationalize it by projecting her own childhood abuse onto the people she's claiming to 'care for'. For quite a number of years now. Everyone white-knighting for her originally were mostly Potter-heads, and anyone that thinks that series is actually well-written needs their head examined. Enjoy it for what it is, sure, but let's be real. Her defenders quickly grew to anyone that also dislikes trans people.

Fair enough, I was already questioning things when I was 12 and they got rid of the actual real-time-clock from Gold/Silver. I was just obsessed with completing the dex with my friends for Diamond/Pearl. I fell off when Black/White came out, I thought they were getting boring/redundant even though I like Black/White now.
