no. it's not immunization at all. so it should not be mandatory. i got both shots back in july. they are good at mitigating the damage the virus does, but they dont stop you from spreading nor do they stop you from getting it. the vaccine doesn't even claim to stop you from getting the virus. the misinformation saying it does is why people are not wearing masks and people saying that you dont have to wear a mask if you have the vaccine.

if the vaccine was full immunization then yeah i can see why it would be mandatory in some fields, but because it's not that it should not be mandatory. dont say weird shit like "it does nothing" when no one is claiming that.

Russia had to deal with Japan and the Mongols in the East, the tribesmen of Azerbaijan in the south, the Ottomans and Eastern Europe in the West, plus their own constant internal civil unrest from being a feudal state for so long.

Sure, they had a big army, but it was stretched thin across their vast "empire" and had little to no effect outside it's own borders.

I just think it's inaccurate to claim that Russia didn't come a major player in European affairs until the 20th century. They are intertwined in it.

Also, as a proud (1/4) Finn, I know they dominated the USSR in WWII. They were defending their homeland and are one of the few nations equipped to deal with the same hardships the Red Army is equipped to deal with. There is a long history of war between Finland and Russia, and the Finnish were not always the victors.

That is not an absolute claim, whatsoever. Fully-vaccinated breakthrough cases still involve a shorter time of being contagious as the body clears the virus more quickly.

Being fully vaccinated STILL results in LOWER chances of catching the virus and spreading it, even though Omicron has a much higher rate of breakthrough cases compared to Delta. You can't continue re-hashing these statements that are repeated by media figures when it is not that simple.

Truck convoys have happened in Canada in the past. They've been mired in logistical issues, because the organizers are typically idiots.

Their message is mixed, it's not clear whether this is about road conditions or vaccine mandates. The 13%-17% of unvaccinated Canadian truckers are contributing to supply chain issues as they are required to quarantine for 2 weeks after crossing the border. Know how we can improve supply chain issues? Get vaccinated, don't go on a fucking cross-country parade.

Oh, and looks like the main organizer is a 'Western Separatist' aka completely detached from reality. No documents to present in Ottawa, no documents showing how money will be allocated. I don't think framing them as 'vaccine avoidant strains' is responsible, considering those vaccines still have a massive effect on whether or not you will die or end up in hospital. The vaccine simply doesn't reduce transmission as much with Omicron, although it still does via a reduced contagious period.

I think we need to focus on literacy and reading comprehension in adults a lot more.

Old people getting their 2nd booster doesn't effect the overall population's vaccination rate, which has barely budged in Israel over the past few months.

None of those deaths have affected the economy (not from the deaths but from the lockdowns) in the way covid has. We do not have a 24 hour news cycle regarding other deaths. There are no mandates greatly improving the profits of select companies from the other deaths.

The overall health of America would increase greatly if McDonald's and Coca Cola was not currently consumed in the daily massive quantities but nobody is suggesting they stop being produced.
