Thank you for your help! So I can upgrade TotK fairly easily, I'll likely want/need a new micro SD express card, and my profile and purchased games will follow me onto the new hardware when I sign in. My game saves and photos I'll need to transfer over wi-fi, so I guess I'll need to hang onto my Switch until I have the Switch 2.

A follow-up question: Since my ex is in my "Family Group", will her stuff be affected when I transfer my profile/data onto Switch 2, or can I make that transition, give her my original Switch, and her stuff still be there without issue? I'd like to preserve her stuff on the Switch and only move my own, but I don't really know how it's going to shake out. Seems like an unusual situation to easily find the answer to, but perhaps it's not as complicated as I'm making it out to be.

I'm eagerly awaiting the release of Switch 2 despite not having played my Switch in a good long while. It seems like there are a lot of sources for information on this stuff, but I have a couple of specific questions that I think would be better addressed by the friendly community here at b8 as opposed to skimming through all of the articles and FAQs available elsewhere. I don't suspect that these are terribly hard to answer to anyone mildly informed, but I'm pretty ignorant to many details these days and appreciate what guidance you may be able to provide.

• My Switch profile, games, game saves, photos, etc. - how do I make sure that these are migrated to the Switch 2? Will I need to be actively subbed to NSO to execute this transition?
• In a similar question to the above, my ex has about 1,000 hours in Animal Crossing and I'm wondering if it's possible to give her my Switch so she can continue to play that game from her account while I migrate my profile and stuff to S2. The AC game is a physical cart, not an online purchase, and she has a separate account on the Switch from my own, but I think I read previously that once I move my Switch stuff onto the Switch 2, none of the stuff from my Switch will be available anymore. Can someone clarify this for me so I know if this can be done and how to go about it?
• I have a microSD card or w/e in my Switch with a lot of space remaining. Can I move it to my Switch 2, or are they using a different kind of SD card? If the latter, is there any point in keeping that memory card or would I be just as well off to give it to my ex or trade it in with the Switch if she doesn't want it?
• I have about 20-30 hours of LoZ:TotK on my Switch, probably not half way through, and I've been dragging my feet in anticipation of some kind of performance boost or upgraded version, and it looks like that's on deck for S2. Is there a clean upgrade path for that, or will I need to buy a new version of the same game? I thought I saw something about paying some money for the boosted features, but at GameStop today they listed a new version available for, like, $70 or something and it made me second guess myself.

I think that's all I have for now, but I may circle back if more questions arise. If anyone of many of you have answers to these questions, I would greatly appreciate the insight you can share.

I caught it on Monday and can confirm it's easily the funniest movie I've watched in ~15 years or more. The hardest part for me since has been having nobody else to drop quotes with since it's still only in select theaters.

I guess I'll come in with the hot take: Genesis version is better version. Must have been one of the first two or three games I ever beat, and little ~3-year-old me beat that game often.
