Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) is the original. It has the NES NG games as unlockables

Ninja Gaiden Black (Xbox)is a upgrade to the original. More modes, difficulties, content in general. It is rebalanced and is seen as the definitive NG game.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma, the PS3 version. Features Rachel as a playable character, generally better graphics, redesigned to be more straight forward/ QoL changes. Excellent substitute if you can't play Black

A video replay mode where you can review old matches and transfer scenarios to practice mode

20+ Characters at launch, no season pass announcement before the game is even out. Also if a character was in a DLC character in a previous game they shouldn't be in the next game

The worst is typically Trial 3 from all 3 games, especially V3

On the GBA it was 1-6

On the DS it was just 3 and 4
