No, I'm from the Netherlands. Winters here generally dip under 32F extremely rarely. Right now, I'm freezing my balls off outside and there's snow as far as the eye can see. It sucks.

It definitely gets too much undeserved hate. While they definitely made some horrible decisions during development (not including the Nunchuck in the control scheme being the most baffling of all), the game itself is plenty good.

I'm asking if them feeling guilt deep down inside might be a reason they react so hostile to learning black history. Like that recent story of a Utah school saying parents can opt out of black history month. What motivation could there be for that other than feeling bad about it and not wanting the kids to feel bad?

It's probably not so much feeling guilty as them just not wanting their kids to be told that they're evil because some people that share their skin color did something bad hundreds of years ago. They probably don't want to deal with their kids coming home and asking if they're bad people because they're white.

People could just live their lives without too much worry, I guess. You could support a family off of a single paycheck, which is pretty much impossible now. Social media has pretty much turned people against each other as well. I don't remember there being ideological clashes this big back then.

It's not as good as it used to be. I remember life being way more carefree around the turn of the millennium.

I've been using mine exclusively as a Civilization 6 machine since it runs the game infinitely better than my PS4.

Another German theme park I recommend is Europapark. Check it out if you ever get the chance!

I've been to Europa Park 3 times. It's fantastic. Best theme park in Europe IMO. Shame it's like a 6-hour drive from where I live, so it's not exactly a daytrip park, unlike Phantasialand which is only an hour and a half away.

This Cedar Point place sounds pretty rad. I've been on a few theme park vacations to the US, but I've only been to the Disney and Universal parks in California and Florida.

I doubt anyone here has ever ridden it, but my favorite coaster is Taron at Phantasialand in Germany.

It's super fast, buttery smooth, and the theming throughout is killer.

Phantasialand as a whole is a great theme park. Easily one of the top 5 parks in Europe.

I can't wait for this fucking pandemic to end so I can go there again. Especially since they opened their brand-new flying coaster just before Germany forced all of the theme parks to close down and I haven't had a chance to go there yet.

I mean, it's not like there's much to play on the new consoles that you can't also play on PS4 or Xbone.

I think it's pretty tame, honestly. They don't have those neck rings, or bones through their noses, or big discs in their bottom lip or earlobes. You usually see at least one of those when they're depicting tribal Africans.

Welcome changes in my opinion. Jungle Cruise has never been high on my list. I don't like how everything looks cheap. People say "that's the joke" but I disagree because it obviously would have looked more convincing to guests when Disneyland was first opened.

For the record, on the other hand I'm not happy about the Splash Mountain changes.

Of course it looks cheap. It's more than 50 years old. And I doubt it's a popular enough ride to invest in state-of-the-art animatronics for.

Ah. Didn't remember those. But honestly, those are pretty tame. I've seen way worse stereotypical tribal Africans. And I'm not sure how it's racist when there are still plenty of African tribes that look similar to that. Especially in the time period that the ride is set in.

Sweden is really good if you just want to sit back and win an easy cultural or diplomatic victory.

I also really recommend the New Frontier Pass. They added a bunch of great civs and new modes so far.

It's been a while since I went on that ride but I don't remember anything being racist about it?

The new Pokemon were virtually all awful and for some reason way harder to obtain than the original 151. The level curve was ATROCIOUS. Kanto was a hollow shell of its former self. Half of the new gym leaders didn't even use any new Pokemon. Chikorita is the worst starter in the history of the Pokemon franchise.

You dont have an influx of different thought or ideas pooling around to take a good look at antiquated values and attempt to update them or inspect if that was really the original intent of such writings. I dont believe in looking at religion through the eyes of the future, but I do find that its important to go back with the data you have and interpret what those clauses mean as it pertains to the culture of that time and the cultures around it.

For all the flack America gets Im still glad to have been born here exposed to different peoples perspectives because it allowed me to get closer to my own religion and realize there was work to be done to educate those that use religion as a means to exclude or dominate

Religions being the problem is obvious, but we have religions in the west too. We have a lot of religions in the west, but we're not as backwards as some of these countries, so I don't think that is the main issue. Is it culture? Is it how people are raised?

It seems they made a deal with FOX. Since Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch have ties to both the X-Men and the Avengers, both studios could use the characters in theory. It seems they agreed that FOX could have Quicksilver while Marvel could have Scarlet Witch.

I'm not an incel, but I think it just looks incredibly trashy, especially when they're covered from head to toe. It's a huge waste of money, it hurts their employment prospects, it's gonna look like shit once they age. I just see no upsides to getting a tattoo. Just hang a picture on the wall if you want to look at an image of something that badly.
