I wanted to play Demon Souls. Plus my old PS4 has this annoying issue where the eject button randomly triggers. It was to the point where I stopped playing disc games because of it. However, I lucked out and got one on Amazon though. I wouldnt pay more than the MSRB or for any of those bundles.

theres easy ways to fix that...

Its probably from the rubber piece on the bottom hitting the eject button

I saw Resident Evil 8 comes out in May. There isnt even a full release schedule for the year out. No way is it worth getting for 1-2 games anytime soon lol.

I want it for the load times and download speed. Why get new parts for a computer that plays the same games? Some people just want it to play the same games better

I didn't get around to playing many of the PS4 exclusives, so I'm now doing so at 60fps with better loading times and higher resolutions.

Demon's Souls is also fun and very gorgeous

I've been using mine exclusively as a Civilization 6 machine since it runs the game infinitely better than my PS4.

The tone is so fucked up from the original, the music is rescored to be epic conquering adventure which is not at all Demons Souls and the visual design is so botched that it doesnt even resemble the original game. Every change is worse, Flamelurker looked like a generic Balrog instead of the obviously corrupted human he was prior, and you can tell Bluepoint didnt even care because once they got some backlash they tried to redesign him to be closer like their redesign didnt hold value to them. The name of the game is making it new and shiny without any regard for the original design. The castle in Boletaria is a super utilitarian structure until you get closer to where the King is, and yet in the remake its ornate and Gothic. That was deliberate design, it was a military fortress, not a gothic ornate castle. The structures of a world tell you about the kind of people that live there, it shouldnt look like Anor Londo because it wasnt built for the same purpose as Anor Londo, two very different types of people lived in these places.

Thats the tip of the iceberg, theres changed the whole way down in every area that fuck it up like this. Look at the shades from the Shrine of Storms, or the twisted and pained gargoyles from Latria looking like silly cartoons now, the overgrown foliage every that wasnt in the original, making it appear like the colorless fog has been troubling the land for much longer than it has been. The workers in Stonefang look angry, when theyre basically sapped zombies in the original, for another example. Its a total fucking paint-over of the original with no regard for any of the decisions Miyazaki made, and was more preoccupied with being a tech demo for HDR and particle effects than it was for preserving any sort of vision. There is nothing in the game that even suggests they looked at the artbook once, or gave any consideration to what inspired Miyazaki to make the decisions he made. They fundamentally misunderstand Demons Souls.

And an especially amusing part is the armor spider having a WOODEN floor with cracks and holes that he does the flame attacks on by spitting oil out, like the oil wouldnt go through the cracks and like the fire wouldnt decimate the wood. He was in a cave with a flat floor in the original, why bother making the changes if they make LESS sense than what youre fixing? Thats without even getting into the lighting in his room, like its a huge cave why would it be dark and full of shadows like the PS3 version, nah lets have it look like a studio apartment, fuck atmosphere.
