Last night I paid to activate a game that I'd downloaded a few days ago. It was that situation where you download the full game, get to play it for free for an hour, and then have to pay (once) to get to play it any longer.

I don't usually get to give a recent answer to these sorts of polls.

It seems that somebody in Brett Kavanaugh's yearbook rhymed "Renate" with "date" (with "date" probably being a euphemism). But I always thought "Renate" was pronounced like "Renata":

Didn't they already do that? I remember talk about that like 20 minutes after it was announced there was going to be a trial.

Some stations did...but the other poster wanted a permanent ban on any network/station showing/streaming them ever.

Actually, I meant that if a network decided to stop showing The Cosby Show for a while, I'd understand. I don't want every show with Bill Cosby in it off the air for good.

He also seems to have written some "unseemly" things on his high school yearbook page. Well, they probably wouldn't be that bad if he apologized and said he was a different person back then. They do, however, make it not out of the question that he assaulted that girl.

It's more like, I'll understand if a network decides to take the show off for a while to avoid causing pain among its audience. Now that he's been sentenced, there's no way we really can pretend that he did nothing bad.

Hopefully nobody is saying that we should permanently forget that the Cosby Show etc. ever existed.

Am I the only one who thought that Ed Whelan made a good point about how it could've been somebody else who assaulted Christine Blasey Ford? Obviously that's not proof that Brett Kavanaugh wasn't the guy, but it does show that you can't assume that everything a crime victim says is correct, especially if it's dark and everyone's drinking.

I'll assume that she sincerely believes that Brett Kavanaugh assaulted her, but isn't it at least possible she's misremembering who did something to her? Not because she's a woman, but because after so much time it's possible for anybody's memory to become incorrect even if they swear up and down they recall it with perfect clarity? I've read that that happens more often than you think.

Just so we're clear, I assume she's correctly remembering that something bad happened to her; I'm just not sure we can say without further evidence that Brett Kavanaugh did it.

I think he's played the exact same songs in the same order at every show so far.

Any thoughts? My first thought is that there should be more songs from the 1980s and beyond. So since I've seen him twice in the past, and since there's nothing on this tour that I'm desperate to hear, I don't feel bad about not having tried to get tickets.

I'd actually be most scared of the giant bang, and then of getting slammed by a wall of water. If I survived the initial impact, I'd probably find myself getting sad simply due to the magnitude of the change, but I think I'd be able to keep myself from completely melting down. Due to certain (not too serious) things that have happened to me out of the blue, I think I've reconciled myself to the fact that your life can get very bad very quickly for all sorts of reasons.

On a lighter note, I have a number of printed books and non-electronic games, so I wouldn't be going crazy, assuming I had any time to do anything other than survive.

It seems that the county made him take it down because it wasn't actually on his property. He will be allowed to put it back up on his property line, which is 18 feet away from the street. I think that's fair; that should be far enough back that nobody will accidentally touch it. In those pictures, it looks as if the fence is right at the street edge, which seems like it's just asking for a person or car to touch it by mistake.

I gave it an 8/10 after trying to correct for nostalgia, but after re-watching an episode I wonder if I still rated it too high. Link is just too much of a jerk all the time. Other than that, the show was decent.

I have thought for a while that we're going through a real-life version of Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest.

Hopefully that won't include the military going ahead with a war just so Trump can be humiliated after it's been won.
