Also, chains tend to start out higher quality and then lose quality as they open more and more restaurants and have to streamline everything |

They put way more on theirs and their bread isnt all flimsy and flattened out like subway. Fresh baked bread every day and their meat and all other ingredients are fresh |

But i have many way better sub shops around that are also cheaper. Its a no contest. Subway preys on people who eat there due to convenience or that just go somewhere due to it being recognizable from mass marketing |

If you're at work dealing with customers, you shouldnt just go off on people because they have that look or that voice that you dont like. If you feel that way then you arent qualified to have a position dealing with the public. Apathy doesn't bother me that much. I get that a lot at private businesses with cashiers and the like and I get it. Its a shitty job. But outright rudeness seems to be a more common occurrence at government run institutions in my experience. That's all I'm saying |

Go up there grumpy, and maybe you grumpiness will rub off on them... I shouldnt have to be overly polite to have someone not be rude. When I got my drivers license when I was 16, the lady basically yelled at me to hold my chin up higher for the picture with no reason to act like that. The first time she said to hold my chin up high with a slight attitude and then raised her voice when she had to *gasp* ask me one more time to raise my chin a little higher. And thus, my drivers license photo looks stupid because she told me to awkwardly hold my chin up too high. You wouldnt get away with that kind of attitude at a private business. Its a little tougher and more futile to file a complaint about an employee at a government agency. Not that I'm the type to do that anyway unless goes above and beyond in rudeness Oh and also when I took my drivers test, the guy was extremely rude the whole time when I was clearly nervous which made me more nervous |

It's a perk that oftentimes makes up for the compensation premiums that an employee could make in a similar job in the private sector. But not every federal position is guaranteed to make more in the private sector, or necessarily has that flexibility in work-life balance. Dont get me wrong. I wouldnt mind a solid government job. You get good benefits and get every single half ass holiday off. But I get a lot of holidays off at my job now as well as two weeks vacation so it's not too bad |
